T-Bolt will be very sad. And frankly, I'm not happy either.

Italy is screwed. Oh how the mighty have fallen. First France, now Italy. And that's game. Slovakia's most likely advancing.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:22 AM) I wonder if anybody will give Walker any credit for Rios ever. Don't treat Rios like Brent Lillibridge, the guy has all the talent in the world. It's not like Walker turned Lindsay Lohan back to normal or something. That said, he should get credit for moving Rios' hands down.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:17 AM) Sunday lineup Pierre LF, Ramirez SS, Kotsay 1B, Konerko DH, Quentin RF, Pierzynski C, Jones CF, Viciedo 3B, Lillibridge 2B Kotsay hitting third is just...BLAH.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:19 AM) You'll note too that he's hit inside pitches out to LF twice and an outside pitch out to RF last night, so he's legitimately hitting the ball everywhere. Yup, something is clicking. Maybe he just decided to ignore Greg Walker?

QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 12:32 AM) I think someone else mentioned this but if the Rockies were to fall out in the next few weeks with TT out, Brad Hawpe would be a great fit and a guy i would love to get. Not sure what his contract status is and if the Rockies would ever being wiling to deal him. I will leave that to far more intelligent men to tell me how dumb this idea is. Hawpe has DH written all over him. Although I'm afraid he won't be as good of a hitter without Coors.

QUOTE (GREEDY @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 10:52 PM) Jose Lopez Plugs either 2B or 3B nicely. A superstar defensive third basemen and a + second basemen. Offensively his approach is very comparable to Alexei (which isn't optimal) but is due to get hot (he has struggled in '10) and would fit nicely into a lineup full of streaky free swingers. He turns 27 in November. Lopez can't play superstar defense... He's alright, but nothing spectacular. And he also doesn't like walks, which is a problem...

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
And it looks like the pitches Carlos has hit for home runs these past couple of days have been pitches up in the strike zone. This is really good news considering Carlos is a dead low ball hitter. Yet, he's hitting the high mistake pitches hard, something he didn't do before this year.
-
AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Here's an idea of how good Carlos has been. In one week, he's brought up his OPS from .700 to .756, that's what home runs can do. In the same span, he's upped his wOBA from .310 to .330, he's now an average offensive player, with an RC+ of exactly 100. Despite being so bad for the past two months. His slugging percentage has gained nearly 40 points. I don't know about you, but I think Carlos figured something out.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Carlos hasn't looked this good since the last week of 09.

Sox vs Atlanta 6-23 game thread 7:05 first pitch, CSN
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 06:45 PM) He's barely even played the position in his career. He'd only started 20 games at 1B before coming to the White Sox, I have no idea how he developed this reputation. From what I've seen of him this season in all facets of the game, I'd like to limit the amount of time he actually spends on the field of play to as little as possible. He really only has a negative impact when he steps out of that box. From what I saw last year, he wasn't bad there. But yeah, the numbers don't really back this notion.

The Official Ubaldo Jimenez thread
QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 03:25 PM) We have a Strasburg thread, figured this guy needs his own thread as well, as he's having one of the best seasons in baseball history. Any chance he wins 30 games or gets close to Gibson's 1.12 ERA? Has a tough task tonight with the Red Sox. No and no. Ubaldo will be fortunate to keep his ERA under 2 for the year.
