  1. Guzman never touched the bag.
  2. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 07:34 PM) nats announcers say he's 3 windows down from them... That wasn't what I was wondering about.
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) His contract won't let him pitch over 100 innings this season in the MLB. Seriously?
  4. The Nats bullpen isn't that bad though.
  5. QUOTE (BFirebird @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 07:25 PM) Lots of players are going to look like crap against Strasburg. He has an incredible repertoire. But it's Alex Rios. You'd expect him to look a little better than just about every other hitter in our lineup.
  6. Alex is looking like crap against Strasburg.
  7. Hawk just said something good, then something stupid. He said the two hole is very important, very true. Then he said Vizquel is the best 2 spot hitter we've had in a long time. Does long time mean last year? Because Gordon was great last year...
  8. I wonder if Ed Farmer came there.
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 07:12 PM) They are roughly the same type of pitcher as well. lawl Except the difference in velocity and all.
  10. Strasburg is like the new Mark Buehrle. Games just fly.
  11. QUOTE (Disco72 @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 07:00 PM) That doesn't mean they're all bad. It just seems odd to assume a guy can't hit because he's Korean (or for that matter any race/ethnicity). Yes, it is wrong to assume that he can't hit, but there's nothing wrong with looking back in history and seeing how other Korean position players have done in the majors before to get an idea. But I also based this off of what he has. He's a contact hitter with a lot of speed, no power potential. More likely than not, he won't be better than league average. Even if he is league average, he might be a valuable player due to his defensive potential, being a SS and all. There's a prospect in the Dodgers system very much like Lee, great defender, good speed, not so great at anything else.
  12. None of those pitches were even close to the zone.
  13. I thought Zimmerman hit that out off the bat. That guy has a crazy amount of bat speed.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 06:57 PM) NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! He did the wave with his/her hands though, lol.
  15. Nyjer Morgan = new Juan Pierre. These guys are so identical.
  16. Southpaw is getting raped with a flag pole by the Nationals mascot.
  17. Good thing we scored early.
  18. Gavin has a decent feel for the curve today.
  19. QUOTE (Disco72 @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 04:40 PM) So that means that Koreans can't be good at hitting? That makes no sense. Only a handful of Korean position players have ever played in MLB. (If you were joking, then I'll have to fix my humor / sarcasm detector...) Very few have played because they're usually not all that good, with the exception of Shin Soo Choo.
  20. MLB.tv is $5 today for the next month. Get it while you can.
  21. England ties with Algeria. Looks like a win over Algeria won't be easy. U.S. still very much alive. Can you imagine the crap the British tabloids will put on this English team?
