  1. Please let this come true.
  2. Rios, Danks, and Konerko please. Hell, even Peavy should be fine.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 10:54 PM) Interleague tally... 42-42 AL will still come out on top.
  4. I think it's pretty clear that they have to sweep the Pirates. That and 2 out of 3 from the Nationals.
  5. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 06:24 AM) I didn't get to post in the game thread yesterday, but what a great performance by Floyd last night. I'm hoping this is a sign that he's turning it around. Plus, good call by Ozzie to pinch hit with Pierre. When I saw him up, I was concerned (lefty on lefty), but I saw Pierre's history against Lilly and felt better. It's too bad that Konerko and Carlos "Pop-up" Quentin couldn't get the job done. Floyd was going to turn it around anyhow. He does this crap every year, he posts a super inflated ERA due to terrible luck (.369 BABIP), but his peripherals are great (with the exception of 2008, he was exceptionally lucky that year). Before last night's game, his FIP was 4.02, after that start, it's down to 3.8, that of a very good pitcher. He's now second in pitching WAR on the team next to John Danks. Everybody in the rotation with the exception of Freddy Garcia has a FIP below 5, even Peavy and Buehrle. There's been a lot of bad luck for our pitchers, however, we're seeing a reversal of that right now and it will probably continue.
  6. You have to send him down. He's terrible right now.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) If this was AJP's last game, I want to say that his pitch calling this series was absolutely phenomenal. Minus the first pitch fastball to Tracy after Soriano's double.
  8. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:36 PM) I don't know who was more useless there... Lexi or PK.... Alexei didn't even come close to making contact.
  9. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:30 PM) A flyout to lose it. Nice approach mopes. 2 runs in 2 games. Thank god the NL pitching is here for our offense to feast on. That flyout woulda been nice with less than two outs... Alexei in the two hole still pisses me off.
  10. This offense is pathetic.
  11. It's up to Q, they coulda had two there.
  12. Well, let's hope PK lifts one far enough.
  13. Alexei has no business hitting second.
  14. Come on Alexei, make solid contact.
  15. You gotta bunt with Alexei here.
  16. HAHAHAHAHAHA Whoever said Pierre was going to get a hit,
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:12 PM) 6 groundouts, 14 flyouts so far this game for the Sox. Isn't lilly a ground ball pitcher? He's a heavy fly ball pitcher.
  18. A.J.'s been great throwing guys out today.
  19. QUOTE (Real @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:10 PM) LOL he has a no-hitter dude, you think they'd pull him for the closer? If he gets hurt when he gets hit, yeah.
  20. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:09 PM) Hit his f***ing ass. I would love it. And have Marmol come in in the 9th? No way.
  21. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:08 PM) If it's going to be anybody in the 9th, I think it's got to be Pierre. His contact/slappy approach is probably more appropriate at this point than at any other. And he will ground out somewhere.
  22. It will definitely take away the accomplishment of winning this series away.
  23. Seriously, if he gets this, it will be the worst no hitter I have ever seen.
