I don't know if it makes a whole lot of sense for them to trade Skubal. His peripherals are excellent despite his recent struggles and he still has 4 more years of control after this year. Do the Tigers not think they can compete in the next 4 years? I know this year has been a setback, but I don't think they need to start from scratch again.

Eloy did just hit 2 homers in his last 2 games. Granted they were on hangers, but we need to take home runs however we can get them. I think if he can actually stay on the field for these last 2.5 months, he has a chance at rebounding. You just have to hope he tries to pull the ball more so he can unlock more of his power.

His run defense grades have always been bad. He's fast and he's solid in pass coverage, but he gets eaten up in the run game.

Yeah that's another big issue. They're last in walk rate in baseball. If they're going with this dink and dunk approach to hitting getting guys on via walks helps out a lot.
