  1. Detroit's defense is also not good with all their injuries. The Steelers absolutely demolished them in the run game. We haven't had the ball enough to establish any kind of run game. Now you're down by 2 scores and it pretty much makes you pass way more.
  2. Ben has been getting out coached in these divisional games. Especially in the first half. It almost feels like they don't care if they win or not. If that's the case, why not rest your starters?
  3. I think Okamoto will be a better hitter immediately but he's already 30 so his upside won't be that high. This might be the only real contract he gets in the Majors.
  4. Classic Boras contract with all the opt outs.
  5. Glad to see the Notre Dame snub being proven right.
  6. PFF is good for grading positions that you basically don't notice during the game. And I like to use it to get a basic understanding of some players I've never watched or heard of before, but if you dig into their QB grades, it all feels extremely subjective and sometimes the criterias make no sense. Caleb has had 2 games graded in the mid 40s this year. The Steelers and Commanders games. He threw 4 touchdowns in those 2 games and no picks. He got those grades because I think he had like 5 turnover worthy plays in those games. Did he get lucky not throwing picks on some of those throws? Probably. But this guy leads the league in INT% and has like 10 career interceptions in 2 seasons. At some point it's not luck. On the opposite end of the spectrum, he had 4 big time throws against the Niners and 0 turnover worthy plays. He played great on Sunday night. Everyone saw it. Surely that means he got an elite grade right? Nope, 75 passing grade. They somehow graded the miss to Loveland that Collinsworth kept complaining about a -2. That's the same grade as a bad turnover, which makes no sense. It almost felt like they had to make a big deal of it because the boss (Collinsworth) complained so much about it on the broadcast. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea behind PFF. Football needs more advanced analytics. But I can't help but feel that PFF sometimes does their grades a certain way to be contrarian to get people to talk about them or to please the guy who is their majority share holder.
  7. He also ran a Jeep Tour company in that show prior to getting obsessed with Tecca. It's like Tim Robinson himself was harassing Harold.
  8. This sounds like something from a Tim Robinson show.
  9. For a crew that called basically everything under the sun (and the most penalties on average per game), I don't know how they missed that.
  10. This was one of the first games all year where he just got abused on crossers by Pearsall. He had been playing like the best corner on the team before this game. It can't help that he was sick and injured leading up to the game.
  11. This was all without Trent Williams too. Our dline got manhandled by an oline without their best player.
  12. The only way the Bears get the Rams is if the Rams lose to the Cardinals or Falcons. I don't see that happening, but you never know. If the Rams win out, they are locked into the 5 seed. If the Bears lose next week and the Eagles win, they will get the loser of the 49ers and Seahawks game.
  13. Yeah they weren't ready on that play. The 49ers rushed 3 and got pressure immediately because the protection wasn't correct. I know they wanted to get the right play for 4th and 5, but wasting that timeout ended up burning them in the end. Oh well, hopefully Burden will be ok for the playoffs. Otherwise, losing this wasn't a huge deal. They played well, it just wasn't enough in the end.
  14. They can still get the 1 seed if Seattle loses one more game and they win out.
  15. I wish they would have capitalized more on those 2 turnovers. They could easily be up 24-7.
  16. Nobody is hiring Dennis Allen as a HC. He already failed twice. That's about as many chances as you get in the NFL. There's definitely a chance Bieniemy, Doyle, and Harris will be poached. Bieniemy may get another shot at OC and Doyle might get a chance to call plays elsewhere. Although I feel in Doyle's case, he may want a few more years of experience with Johnson since he's still under 30.
  17. Apparently Fairbanks wanted to pitch somewhere warm because of his Raynaud's syndrome. He would have struggled in April/May in Chicago if that's the case.
  18. Yeah I'd rather gamble on Murakami for like $10 million more. Pirates were in on him as well.
  19. Yeah, FG is usually 5-10 pts behind in grades compared to MLB pipeline.
  20. If we don't get Fairbanks, Dominguez is still available. Taylor Rogers is also available, but he's pretty washed. The Cubs even left him off their NLDS roster.
  21. I'd rather they waste $4.5 million than trade for guys like Booser with a 19 year old prospect.
  22. 1.7 fWAR last year in 92 innings, which is a lot for a reliever. I think he was a multi inning opener for Boston. BABIP was .344 and he still put up good numbers, so this wasn't all just a lucky year. Definitely came up out of nowhere last year, but it's a great signing for $4.5 million.
  23. Honestly if they have to trade draft assets for someone I'd rather trade up for Rueben Bain. If he keeps playing like he did this past weekend he's going top 10. Would you rather trade 2 firsts for a guy with 5 years of control on a rookie contract or 2 firsts for a guy over 30 that's gonna require $30 million a year? I'd rather do the former.
  24. Yeah they'd need to cut Edmunds and some other guys to make room for a guy making $30 million a year. Their current cap space next year is around $10 million and that's without re-signing guys like Byard. They can backload the contract and get creative, but they would then be pretty strapped for space the next few years.
