It's 105 in Austin today and it feels like 115. That's gonna be the weather for the next week and a half at least.

Righties have looked very good against Alexander. Lefties, not so much.

That stadium in general kind of sucks. I've been to their old stadium and the new one. While the old one sucked during the hot summers, it at least had some character. This new stadium feels so dull, dim, and lifeless.

It's getting to the point where I hope we don't score double digits so we actually score something the next game.

The Cubs kind of cheaped out. But maybe cheaping out actually saved them from giving Tucker a bunch of money. He's been worse than Bregman this year. At least Tucker is under 30 and has a good chance of bouncing back. Hard to see that coming from Bregman.

His 2nd half struggles last year should have been a warning that he wouldn't be the player he was. Fenway briefly revived his bat, but then he struggled even with the green monster in left. Now he's coming out of his prime looking like a league average hitter with a decent glove at 3rd.

I didn't realize how bad Jansen has been this year. Pretty much every non-Diaz free agent reliever this past off-season has been bad. Fairbanks, Jansen, Devin Williams, Helsley, and Dominguez have all been differing levels of bad. Only Luke Weaver and Robert Suarez have been good.

Carl went on to be a full time DH like one season later. Kenny literally gave no fucks about defense in 2003. That lineup was absolutely loaded though.
