  1. Lucas is probably done if he doesn't get Cordero.
  2. Great job setting up the tunnel with that 96 MPH dot on the outside corner.
  3. Why does Lucas always look like he just ran a marathon?
  4. Bummer throwing in the pen.
  5. Harrison got robbed there.
  6. Hill might as well be a knuckle baller with how slow he throws these breaking pitches.
  7. Isn't his injury a leg issue? He tweaked something in KC.
  8. I have no confidence in Jake to hit a curve ball. I honestly would have thought about bunting with him.
  9. You can cancel the postgame show
  10. Lucas starting to look good but already at 80+ pitches.
  11. I thought we were supposed to be good against left handed pitchers?
  12. It's historically bad because of how bad Grandal and McGuire have been. Sheets hasn't been good either, but his OPS is at least over .600.
  13. Either all our pitchers suck or the Red Sox are having one of the best hitting games of all time.
  14. This Red Sox offense is some kind of hot...holy crap.
  15. We might get a position player to pitch this game lol
  16. Every time you think this team is starting to turn the corner, they disappoint you.
  17. If they use them as a tandem, I wouldn't let Velasquez start. If Velasquez bombs in the first few innings, it more or less makes Kopech pitching pointless. Plus, you'd be messing with Kopech's routine as a starter and turning him into a glorified long reliever (which is what he was last year and he wasn't real good at it in the 2nd half). I think an acceptable way of having them work as a tandem is to let Kopech go 4-5 innings, but not go more than 75-80 pitches and let Velasquez pitch the middle 2 innings depending on what part of the order is up. Of course, this would have to be later on in the season as the Sox try to manage Kopech's innings. Once Lynn gets back, I think it's something the team could start to think about.
  18. Remember when the Milwaukee crowd gave him a standing ovation?
  19. He already gave it away when he said "ChiSox".
  20. Keuchel did tell Garfien that Donaldson didn't get along with the Latinos in the Twins' clubhouse. Remember when Donaldson tried to get the Twins fired up last year by trying to shit talk Giolito about sticky stuff and it backfired? Remember when he called a team meeting to try to right the ship? None of that worked. The guy really thought he was part of the solution when he was part of the problem.
  21. There isn't a real comparison because no white baseball player has ever been denied the ability to play baseball based on their skin color.
  22. IIRC, Gordon Beckham mentioned during one of the games in KC that the runner on 2nd could see the grip Kelly was using prior to the pitch. That might have been something Kelly cleaned up recently.
  23. I don't think he's insinuating that they were stealing signs, they must have picked up on him tipping his pitches.
  24. Very interesting find. For some reason, it seems like Dallas Keuchel loves to provide extra commentary to the press. I don't think where you grow up always defines you as a person, but Donaldson grew up in northern Florida and went to school in Alabama. He has a history of being an asshat. And now we're getting rumors that he didn't get along with latino players? I'm sorry, but he really doesn't get the benefit of the doubt for his Jackie comment. Those things all kind of add up.
