  1. His reads have been awful against the Twins. Seems like he can't see the ball off the bat against them.
  2. Cueto has the 8th highest strand rate in all of baseball among starters who have at least 60 innings pitched. Probably not sustainable, but part of it might be that Johnny knows how to pitch.
  3. Twins had a really good approach against Cueto the last time out. They're having a good approach again today.
  4. Their personal decisions are gonna make their teammates play 10 players short for 3 games. It's not only selfish from a public health perspective but also from a sports and team aspect perspective.
  5. Good thing the Royals suck so nobody gives a shit that the 10 people who decided not to get vaccinated are gonna cost their team games in Toronto. Benintendi is also killing his own trade value cause Toronto was interested in acquiring him and they clearly can't unless he gets vaccinated. Teams in the AL East or teams with playoff aspirations are all gonna have to think about whether or not he can even play in a playoff series if they end up playing the Jays.
  6. Eloy is never gonna get out of his slump if he keeps getting hurt every few weeks. He'll never get his timing down or develop a rhythm at the plate.
  7. I'd rather he throw slower and have better location than throw harder and be all over the place.
  8. FWIW, I never though the velocity was his biggest problem. It was his lack of fastball command that was killing him.
  9. Abreu doesn't look real happy after the win lol
  10. I think he needs to start developing a cutter as he gets older and his velocity might not be there. His slider's inconsistency really hurts him.
  11. I guess the good news is that Naylor can't walk us off?
  12. Guardians catcher just got hit in the head and the 3 dudes who caught the ball are right behind him celebrating.
  13. It's like being in NBA hell. Not good enough to actually compete but not bad enough to be out of it.
  14. More misery incoming. This team staying afloat is not a good thing. Either start playing well or give up.
  15. You're right that was probably more on Graveman missing his spot by a ton than Seby. He threw a couple of back up sliders that inning and didn't get hurt.
  16. Nice comeback. We lucked out on that 3-1 call. Even though that's a strike Seby did a bad job framing it.
  17. You can't walk Rosario to get to Ramirez...
  18. Didn't want to throw him anything in the zone after 0-2. I don't think that works well against Kwan.
  19. I don't think a 37 year old on a 1 year deal is gonna fetch a whole lot even if he's got a ERA under 3.
  20. IIRC he worked a lot with Abreu before 2020 and he seemed like he was in much better shape that year compared to now.
  21. Guardians kinda have his number and he threw a lot of pitches yesterday. I'm surprised he's available today.
  22. I'd rather throw Hendriks than Graveman against the top of the order.
