  1. I can see it if he actually pitches ok. Like ERA around 4 to 4.5.
  2. Foster getting hit a lot harder as of late.
  3. What an outing from Cueto
  4. Catch the ball Yaz
  5. Cueto probably only good for 70ish pitches with how much he's thrown in AAA.
  6. Isbel is playing a hell of a RF
  7. The good thing with Ayton is that he's still only 24 next year. So even if you sign him to a 5 year max, he's 29 at the end of that deal. If AKME thinks that he can be an anchor defensively while being a solid offensive center, then it might be something worth pursuing. The advanced stats really don't like him. RAPTOR has him as barely better than Vuc this past year. Although because he played on a such a good and deep team, the on/off numbers might really not be in his favor.
  8. If the offense doesn't wake up soon, I can see Menechino getting the boot too. The Royals weren't even expected to be good offensively and they fired their hitting coach.
  9. The thing is that would you pay Ayton $177 million over 5 years? Coby + Vuc works for him in a S&T money-wise, but this would be a huge financial burden on the Bulls, especially if they retain Zach on a max. I also think you need to be careful with centers that CP3 plays with. They usually don't do as well without his distribution skills.
  10. I've always assumed it's pro-rated based on the days he's on the ML roster.
  11. He didn't opt out (yet), so I think he was promised a call up for Tuesday. I'm guessing he'll be put on the team on Tuesday as the 27th man for the DH. If he pitches well enough, he'll stay on the team. If not, they cut ties with him.
  12. How many times have we seen a winning team pitch a position player? I remember Chris Davis saved a game for the Orioles once cause it was in the 14th inning, but I don't remember the last time a team up by 13 pitched a position player.
  13. Cortes has been shutting down just about everyone. I wouldn't feel too bad about not hitting him, even though this looks pathetic.
  14. Yup he's getting a huge plate while Kopech didn't get any close calls in the 2nd.
  15. This is what happens when every game you win is by 1-2 runs. It's not sustainable.
  16. Yup almost the exact same situation. Bottom of the order too. Had this been the Sox they would have bailed the pitcher out and swung at some crap out of the zone.
  17. Walks have basically done us in this series.
  18. Good luck Tanner Banks
  19. I think it's normal to expect some rough outings. I don't think it necessarily means his arm is hurt. He's never thrown more than 70 ML innings.
  20. Looks like he's lost it.
  21. Kopech throwing 92 in the 2nd inning is a pretty bad sign.
  22. He wasn't really slumping in April, he was just getting unlucky. Now he's slumping for real.
  23. If the ump is gonna give Cortes all these calls it's gonna be a long day.
