  1. Quero doesn't need drive line or a coach. He needs some tape on his helmet.
  2. That tape on the helmet is working for Beni.
  3. Martin isn't a free agent until 2031. If the improvements are real, then we have ourselves a top of the rotation starter under cheap control for 5 years. Talk about luck.
  4. It's just funny that we were dying for a good left handed hitter back in the previous competitive window and now we have too many.
  5. His rate numbers are really close to what they were last year, except I think he's getting hit by pitch quite a bit more. That's giving him a 20 point boost on OBP. But through 115 games and 470 PAs he has 34 homers and 4.7 fWAR.
  6. This lineup will be scary when Teel is back.
  7. That's how KC made it in 2024.
  8. Another well played game even with a couple of key players sitting. We saved the top guys in the bullpen too. Chase and Hill going up the middle to drive in key runs was so nice to see. Getting that hit off a tough righty has to be big for him.
  9. Dominguez would probably pitch the 7th on those 2021 or 2022 Sox teams. And the 2022 one wasn't even good.
  10. The players apparently didn't want it. There were some fears that ABS would cause some weird looking strikes because of how they're caught. Now that we've gone through ABS for 2 months, that's obviously not the case. I hope they expand it to fully automated soon.
  11. His stuff is honestly underwhelming. I thought he threw harder. But he consistently sits 96-97 and that's just not blowing anyone away anymore. Pair that up with some questionable control and he's just a low end closer and middle tier setup man. On a good team, he'd be pitching the 7th inning.
  12. If we're still in it in July, we should definitely buy some small pieces. Maybe get a back end starter, bullpen arm or corner outfielder. No big acquisitions that cost anything substantial because just being in the thick of things half way into the season is house money. I don't think this team is close to truly competing. But with the AL as mid as it is so far and with the extra wild card spot, it wouldn't hurt to try and win more games.
  13. We also saw what happened the last time they did this in Anaheim. It didn't work and they lost a series to a bad Angels team after dominating them in game 1. We need to keep the momentum going into the Cubs series.
  14. Never in doubt! We're finally .500!
  15. He's been trying, but it's either wide or he's letting it hang over the plate.
  16. He gives up way too many homers. Maybe he'll settle down more, but he's giving up bombs on some meatball pitches. It's not like he's getting unlucky.
  17. Never easy with Dominguez.
  18. Vargas was so shocked at that call he couldn't even challenge it.
  19. Vargas definitely did something with his swing this year. He used to pull balls and it'd feel like he didn't fully put his full weight into the swing. It looked like his swing was mostly his arms and upper body. His swings look so much more forceful this year and it looks a lot more connected.
  20. He's hit one out with a 48 degree launch angle. Just not the right conditions tonight. Also the wrong part of right field.
  21. Mune got way too underneath that.
  22. Sam trying to do a bit too much there.
  23. Antonacci is an absolute ball magnet.
  24. Think they go Newcomb for 2 innings here?
