Goodwin has been misused as a CFer. I know TLR is trying to put as many good bats in the lineup as possible with all of our injuries, but for a team that relies on pitching, we shouldn't be screwing our pitchers by playing one of the worst defensive OFs in baseball with Goodwin in CF and Sheets in RF. It also sucks that Engel can't play everyday due to his hamstring injury.

With Eloy back Lineup vs. L 1. SS Anderson R 2. RF Engel R 3. 1B Abreu R 4. DH Jimenez R 5. 3B Moncada S 6. LF Vaughn R 7. 2B Garcia S 8. CF Hamilton R 9. C Zavala R Lineup vs. R 1. SS Anderson R 2. 3B Moncada S 3. 1B Abreu R 4. DH Jimenez R 5. LF Vaughn R 6. RF Goodwin L 7. CF Engel R 8. 2B Garcia S 9. C Collins L Once Yaz and Robert get back this lineup will go from meh to scary, especially vs. lefties.

My point is that if his leash is so short that you'd take him out after one guy gets on, then you shouldn't be giving up one of your 6 outs left by letting him hit. Either way the point is moot if he just double switch'd Kopech in in the first place. His first mistake created an opportunity for the 2nd mistake to happen.

Having Eloy in the cleanup spot will be so nice. Of course, TLR will probably put Goodwin between him and Vaughn.

Liam in a 6 out save situation isn't the issue, the issue is that he basically gave up an out by hitting Kopech just so he can go and walk Adames. If you couldn't stick with him for more than one batter in the 8th, why the hell did you let him hit? Why was he even in that situation to begin with when you could have double switched him and put in Hamilton in the 7th to avoid Goodwin's terrible defense? None of this shit made any sense and the fact that Liam is good shouldn't earn TLR any credit.
