The TLR Manager Thread
This is all on JR. Let the front office who built you the competitive team put the finishing touches on the roster.

Tony just did something I never saw Ricky do ever...
Ricky did admit he fucked up with the bullpen in the last week of last season. Specifically with Rodon in Cleveland.

The TLR Manager Thread
Imagine you're this FO and you build an up and coming team after half a decade of sucking. You finally get the right core pieces, fire your incompetent babysitter manager, and then the owner comes in and says he wants to hire a 77 year old to be a manager that hasn't managed in a decade. Oh and that manager also gets to call pretty much all the shots of who he wants. 7 games into the season, it's clear that the manager is behind the times. Oh and the guy we paid most of our off-season budget to has appeared in just one meaningful situation.

Is Abreu wearing Eloy's batting gloves?

Houston has a competent analytics department that can keep older guys like Dusty in check. It's pretty clear TLR is the analytics department at this point.

Too bad he doesn't get used unless it's a save situation or when he hasn't pitched in almost a week.

lol it's like nothing has changed from the previous manager.

Between this and Madrigal saying he can get 3000 hits...it's like our guys are too full of themselves.

I'm more or less talking about his at bats. He'll put together a real good PA once a game. Leury looks completely clueless. And yes, Eaton has been subpar defensively so far.

What hurts is that one of them could have been used to prevent this lead.

At least Eaton looks competent. Awesome to see we're using our best relievers in a 4 run game we're losing when they could have been used to prevent that 4 run lead just an inning ago.

Ricky did the same shit with Rodon and Bummer last year. He pitches Rodon an inning earlier and then put in Bummer when Rodon blew the lead.
-

Yeah cause our bullpen rarely blew leads. The bullpen has blown 3 out of 7 games already.

Bummer should have been in to face Seager if you planned on using him.

Seattle hits 3 duck snorts the previous inning and gets 7 runs. We hit the ball hard once and it ends up in a double play.

No that ball rolled past 3rd base. If there's a runner on first on the next batter we get at least one on the force instead of the bases getting loaded.

He did get unlucky, but it was also clear he couldn't put Ty France away no matter what. France is on fire right now, but still.

Yeah they came back down 6-1 against SF. I'm surprised they won 2 of 3 against the Giants.

We don't put runners on 2nd and third on that bad throw and we probably get at least one out on the infield single that followed.

How many hard hit balls have there been? Everything off the bat has exit velos in the 60s and 70s.

Just bad luck all around this inning

If we win, he and Collins gotta do dancing for dubs.

Did Vaughn think he was gonna walk on that? That was clearly a strike.

That's one of the 2 ways he'll get extra basehits.
