  1. Was Daley in the crowd, holding up that goddamn BUNT sign? I blame AJ more for not getting it down, than Ozzie.
  2. We didn't win that game tonight...the O's lost it. We should have murdered their pitching. On the bright side Crede's defense looked pretty damn solid. I still think his back is effecting his batting though...gets under everything. Go M's
  3. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'd blow him.
  4. Man, that's tougher than it looks...how does my girlfriend do that?
  5. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 09:46 AM) I hate Orlando Cabrerra and therefore like the Jeff Cox move. He needs to know to not get guys thrown out when there is a player that can come through. I also think Alexi Ramirez is the best hitter on the team when it comes to driving in a run or having to do something t oadjust during an at-bat. Well said. Also as Rosenbloom said, Alexi Ramirez is spanish for Joe Crede. He's clutch and you're right, makes good adjustments during at-bats. I've heard some experts say that because he's a free swinger he'll never be a great hitter....but I'm sure there's evidence to the contrary. If I wasn't so gay in love with Carlos, I'd be gay in love with Alexi. But I just can't cheat on Carlos like that.
  6. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 12:54 PM) I meant 2 on Monday but anyway I went to your website and saw the AJ parody and listened to your Sox report. I'll check your site out more after work today. Keep up the good work. I knew what you meant, just piling on, having fun. and thanks!
  7. I agree with Cox' gamble, but that's knowing that BA was safe. Apparently Upton has been a problem with laziness in the past with the Rays. Maddon has benched him for not running plays out in the past. Maddon even benched him during a no-hit game, which was screwed up by the replacement center fielder. Thank you lazy Upton. Thank you.
  8. This is why we love AJ and everyone else hates AJ. He helps us win games and he'll try anything to do it. Questionable call, yes but I think it was a judgement call. I can't believe that was Doug Eddings again! I didn't even realize that. lol. God love that man. And if we're linking awesome AJ stuff, then check out this A.J. parody song.
  9. QUOTE (DaveBrown85 @ Aug 21, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) bring back Tom Paciorek....Hawk and Wimpy was sweet Amen to that. I don't know why more people don't express this sentiment. Probably because it'll never happen, but Wimpy was the best! I'd take him over Steve Stone even.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 09:56 AM) Pair of jeans and no shirt, in case I want a piece of a 1st base coach. LOL! Allow me to shamefully plug this audio from our podcast about "The Ligue Manifesto"
  11. Don't let Hawk see those parachuting elvises. He won't ever stop talking about it. I know we're swinging the bats well, but I don't have a good feeling about this series. Plus, for some reason, it seems like we play worse after time off. That being said...GO SOX!
  12. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 21, 2008 -> 11:15 PM) Ugh... he is so half-assed out there. I don't even know how to explain it. And "call the press box" swipes aside, the official scorers have been awfully generous to him. Frankly, Uribe >>> Cabrera at SS, and I am a big Uribe basher. Totally agree. For some reason you can't talk about how good if not great Uribe is at shortstop. Naturally O.C. gives you a much better average, but if we're speaking purely defensively, and after having watched both Uribe and Cabrera play the position...Uribe would be my choice. 9th inning of the 4th game of the World Series, and we're holding onto a 1 run lead, I'd be more comfortable with Uribe playing short. Maybe we'll get to see him do it at 3rd. That being said, I don't hate Cabrera (or Uribe) as much as I did the begining of the season.
  13. If Swish continues to be hot and helps us get into the postseason, then yeah. But really you have to look at it big picture. We got a solid player (whose numbers should go up) for a few years at a very reasonable price. We gave up prospects. Who knows how those prospects will turn out, but I'd say it was a good trade. Probably for both teams it was good. I still don't know if I have faith that Swish will continue to swing the hot bat. as your stats show, he hasn't shown any sort of consistency. but he his fun to watch. --Fake Ed Farmer Quote: Did you see who Nick Swisher hip bumped in the dugout? Claude Raines, the invisible man folks.
  14. I like the sound of that, Pants. But doesn't that mean the same thing for the Twins? It's hard to imagine the Twins NOT doing well. Let's just hope that they do indeed struggle on the road like they're supposed to.
  15. Mixed feelings about Bo. I remember not liking the White Sox signing an injured has been, and he was taking all the focus from the team I already liked. Then I went to that game on opening day. I was in right field and couldn't help but cheer along with everyone when he came to bat..but still felt a little bitterness. Then he hit a home run and it came right towards us. And I was that little boy that caught the ball. I was amazed he could perform like that. I was hopeful he was going to have a great season. I was cheering, I was smiling, I was there with my Dad. Doesn't get much better than that. ***okay so I wasn't that little boy that caught the ball, but I was there that game and I was in right field. That kid was like 3 rows in front of me. Prick***
  16. I think DJ is a good announcer. I just think he's stifled around Hawk. So much so that he doesn't even seem to try during some broadcasts. Sometimes I can just hear Hawk staring him down for actually talking when Hawk is trying to tell a story about Yaz.
  17. The chat was very informative. Nice to see CQ getting some love. Do you think they take looks into account? Because Quentins PFP (pretty face percentage) is like .900. Hamilton's is like .650...too much drugs son.
  18. Yeah, DJ has gotten better and doesn't bother me anymore. True his calls aren't that great, but anything's better than when he used to just say "Uh Oh." I love Robin Ventura. Don't get me wrong. But can't we get a decent play by play man? Farmer was much better as color. Now he just annoys me.
  19. In honor of the Mariners in town...Jaime Burke. But for reals...Craig Graebeck.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 03:29 PM) Over/under on Red Sox triples is 1.5 And that's just for Big Papi.
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) I think there's a body part that has a lot of hair on and around it that you missed. lol...you just know Nick Swisher has had his hot girlfriend dye his junk hair. Well either her or Toby Hall. They do share pants sometimes.
  22. This team is obsessed with hair. Dyeing it, shaving it, growing it...on their head, on their chin, on their face...just obsessed! I'm just glad that the bet didn't involve having Dotel eat the hair off of someone's foot. I love em...but baseball players are dumb.
