**2012 Election Day thread**
QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 03:54 PM) Well, I truly was an undecided voter heading into the poll just now. I voted for Obama. I'm sick of having to base my decision on who I think is the best of 2 bad candidates. I can't remember the last time I was fired up about a presidential candidate. But of all the Soxtalker's I think I was the only undecided voter heading into today and I did vote for Obama though I do think he's been a poor leader. Or a very blah leader at best. I think Romney is a scary guy who gives me a weird vibe. He just does. I won't offend the world and say I voted for Obama cause he is a Sox fan and Bears fan, but that is one positive in his corner at least. Knowing me as you all do, are u surprised I voted for the Big O today? I'm surprised you didn't write in Ozzie Guillen.

Simple question, why can't all voting machines give you a receipt with the voting choices you made? You can verify it, put it in a ballot box and if there's any disputed result, you can go back and hand count them. Seems so simple as a solution, voting machines that leave no paper trails are an easy target to tamper with...and that would stop all the conspiracy theories about one side trying to steal the election.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 10:29 AM) Overall, early vote turnout OH up 2.44% in state. Down -4.1% in Obama/Kerry counties; up 14.39% in Bush/McCain counties. — Josh Kraushaar (@HotlineJosh) November 6, 2012 That's strange, I read somewhere that early voting in Democratic parts of Ohio were strong.

Every state should have early voting and election day should be a national holiday or on a weekend. The more people vote the better, it's our civic duty.

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 10:31 PM) Why is it that every political scientist everywhere (and don't get it wrong, that's what Nate Silver is) is predicting an Obama win? Simply put, they hate the message so they try to kill the messanger. We'll finally find out tonight if the stats guys were right. My bet is that they will be. For all it's worth, professor Wang predicted the exact EV count in 2004 so that alone proves he isn't biased, he calls it as he sees it.

We also need to move the pocket more against Green Bay and I can't recall a screen pass to Forte ever working against them. The Bears need to work on that because conventional offensive sets ain't working.

Romney's got my vote now after watching that clip...SMH. Professor Wang over at Princeton Election Consortium has it Obama 319 to Romney 219.
