Booooooo! I refuse to celebrate my Bulls whooping that Rockets ass.
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 01:48 PM) Yet if the Rockets light up the Bulls tonight in a meaningless regular season game, watch him go nuts about them. lol
-
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 08:21 AM) I normally agree with even your crazy ramblings, but this is wrong. The Heat are clearly the best team in the league, even if the record doesn't indicate that, so if you can beat them in a hard fought game, it's worth getting excited about, even if it doesn't win a championship. s***, the Yankees will celebrate a walk off homer, but you're saying they shouldn't because they've won 27 world championships and it's just one of 162 games. That's ridiculous. lol No, what J4L is saying is no team or fanbase should celebrate unless they are shoo in favorites to win it all that year. At least that's what I think he's saying No celebrating, ever.

QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 11:27 PM) Rivalry is way too new and too lopsided in playoffs to be "best." It's just fun and intense, for now. Need that "Jordan beats the Pistons" moment for it to really be great Does the Riley, Zo, Hardaway Heat ring a bell? We handed their asses to them back then, then eliminated defending 07 Heat champs in a sweep, now they've handed our asses to us in recent years. This isn't a new rivalry. To me, rivalry means franchises, as in Bears vs Packers, not Peppers vs Rodgers. Same in hoops, IMO.

Vote for the Sox (and Bears, Hawks and Bulls)

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 11, 2014 -> 05:51 AM) I don't listen to Colin Cowherd because I can't stand him, but I did hear that he is running a bracket pitting franchises across various sports against each other with the winners in each round decided by vote. Please vote and pass the message along to all Sox fans you know. Everybody on Soxtalk should go here: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/bracket?id=9030976 Everybody on Soxtalk except GoSox05 should also go here: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/bracket?id=9028373 Ditto quick question, why bother with his contest if we don't give a crap about what he has to say anyways? Not trying to be a dick or anything, just curious. -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 10:27 AM) Yeah but she left home because she didnt want to live under their rules. That to me says you are now on your own "adult." Should've read the whole article...she needs to go back home or no dice. Now I see what's all the fuss. She is a brat, lol

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 10:18 AM) Maybe I'm missing something here, but it seems like at least several of the posters in this thread had some or all of their tuition, room and board covered by the parents but that they worked a part-time job for spending money. This girl is suing for her parents to pay for tuition. The way I see it, it's the parent's responsibility to pay her college tuition. She shouldn't have to sue them. Kids don't ask to be born and if you make the decision that you want kids, it's your responsibility to educate them so they can have a legit shot at being successful. That's how I see it. My kids are going to college, they have no say in this
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 10:10 AM) It's funny that in the US kids are expected to be responsible and on their own, while in much of Europe, kids live at home until they are married and that's the norm. In Latin culture, that's normal too. I left home at 26, my folks never asked me to leave. Obviously you can't be a freeloader either, you have to kick in with the bills and stuff.
-
QUOTE (ptatc @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 10:04 AM) I like that. It's going to be response if they want to live at home after 18 if they are not going to school. But they are going to school.
-
Irresponsible parents. I'm going to sue my kids if they don't want to go to college...hopefully it won't come down to that.
-
J4L, what do you think of this? Just imagine him in actual basketball shoes and use of modern sports equipment/medicine/training...

QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 3, 2014 -> 01:24 PM) I'd want some indication that Derrick can shoot above 40% and play 60 games, but this could easily be right. I think a Rose-less Bulls with Carmelo is a title contender. I am starting to warm up to the idea of a Melo/Bulls team. My biggest concern was his D but I think Thibs can make him a decent defender. An 85-90% MVP form Rose, Melo, Noah and Gibson are 4 better players than any 4 Miami has. At the very least we need to try something and hopefully Anthony realizes NY is a hopeless situation and he comes as a FA this summer.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 4, 2014 -> 08:39 AM) I had a dream last night that the Bulls traded for LeBron. I pinched myself, because I didn't believe it. I did not wake up. That "pinch yourself" stuff is bulls***. You must have eaten something that made you dream crazy because we can offer Miami our entire roster plus 10 future 1st round picks and our damn stadium as well and it still would not be enough.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 25, 2014 -> 01:12 PM) Im telling you, the director of it knows how to handle the subject matter. He is going to treat Godzilla like he is supposed to, a lot of things will be destroyed We need UltraMan ASAP!
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 21, 2014 -> 07:16 PM) I was more impressed with their defense. It's post-all-star break now and time to get serious. I figured they were going to concede the #1 seed. That doesn't appear to be the case at all. Tell me that wouldn't demoralize the s*** out of Indy if they ended up with the #2 seed? It'd be more over than it already is. Yup, I give Indy a 50-50 tops chance of beating Miam if they have HCA, if they don't, foggedaboudit.

Wade playing like he did last night make the Heat absolutely unbeatable.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 17, 2014 -> 08:42 PM) Watching Winning Time. For those that were alive back then, could Cheryl Miller have played in the NBA? I don't mean being a star, just sticking on a roster.
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 14, 2014 -> 10:42 AM) If he can stay healthy, he will be more than serviceable. He was starting to round into form when he went down with the meniscus. This latest injury isn't nearly the problem an ACL tear is as far as getting back to previous levels. He is still quite young. My fear is more injuries. As long as he's healthy, and gets the rust off, he'll be good to go. I guess I'm just being very pessimistic about DRose, but seeing that he's basically missed 2 seasons due to two different injuries, chances are he'll probably never play again rather than being even serviceable at this point.
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 14, 2014 -> 10:29 AM) The Bulls are still going to need a SG/SF (likely both). The good news is its a deep draft. PG

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjaHc9Vp9wU...be_gdata_player Mirotic draft report, I'm excited by his potential. I don't think he automatically puts us over the top but could be a major piece.
-
QUOTE (Willard Decker @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 06:21 PM) Particularly when said trade discussions don't involve one. --Captain Decker +1

Sooooo...what else is on?
-
I hate SB halftime shows...just get to the 2nd half already dammit

I thought Seattle would win but not in a beatdown.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 31, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) I just don't see Denver being held under 28 points and I don't see Seattle scoring that many. Seattle 27 Denver 23
