  1. and this is from his supposedly loyal fan base... He'll come back when he's ready, you guys realize that it'll take more than just a dozen or so games for him to get close to his MVP level (if he ever get's there after the major injury he had). It's a long process and he might not even make the Bulls better while he's getting his game back. He isn't going to turn this roster into a legit contender by himself. He couldn't a couple of years ago when the Bulls were better and the Heat weren't as good as they are today. I don't want us to risk our franchise player's career just because I want to see him out there. Of course T would love for him to be playing right now but if he isn't feeling it physically or mentally, I'm willing to be patient until he thinks he's ready. All this silly stuff will blow over once he finally does come back...and he will.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 25, 2013 -> 01:26 PM) The point is it's not nearly as simple as "5 beats 1." You did see the interview, correct? Oh ok, I thought you were taking a shot at Jordan, (at his total ring count) my bad. I agree with you, 5-1 argument is lame. LBJ would have more than 1 right now if he had prime Shaq as a team mate...don't mind me, I still get defensive about my idol, warts and all, lol.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 25, 2013 -> 10:01 AM) Mike knows it too. His lame reasoning for choosing Kobe over LeBron ("5 beats 1") was so amatuer. A 10-year old could come up with that. It's way more complex. Imagine LeBron with early 2000's Shaq? lol. 80-2 every year. MJ + Shaq = would also demolish the league, what's your point?
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 05:23 PM) To be fair, Juanita was basically his employee for 15 or so years as he was out banging everything that moved. Yeah, good for him, she wasn't exactly a looker and she got paid millions for the "horrible pain" he put her through.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 01:08 PM) No, you need the obligatory good players shouldn't play in meaningless games post. If that were the case, guys like Walter Payton and Frank Thomas would have spent the majority of their careers sitting down. .............
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 12:32 PM) The same coach (Lovie Smith) that Urlacher never wanted fired is solely responsible for him being let go. The only ass that Lovie Smith ever cared about was his own and week 17 vs Minnesota in 2011-2012 season is proof of that. Urlacher played in a meaningless football game and got injured. He still had 3-4 good years left. The injury destroyed his season last year and this is his fate now. Urlacher is one of my all time favorite Bears but he is acting like a big idiot right now. If it is true that Brian is still bitter over Lovie Smith being fired then I can't blame the new coaching staff for not wanting him in the locker room. Isn't the point of an appreciation thread is to say positive things about a player leaving our favorite team?
  7. Yeah, Mike has always had a horrible sense of fashion, especially as he's gotten older, like he's trying too hard but at least he made his next wife sign a pre-nup. A dummy he ain't
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 09:56 AM) Considering what is going on in Charlotte, that might be a good thing. He's no Magic. just keep him away from personnel decisions
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 09:47 AM) This will all be forgotten eventually...he'll come back in a few years, and everyone will remember the good moments. Except that my biggest idol, Jordan, never came back He should've been for us what Magic is to the Lakers.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 07:30 AM) Can my favorite teams ever let a franchise player go without that player making the team look bad in the media? Can't it ever just be "it was mutual and I love them and especially the fans on Soxtalk"? PK is our greatest hope, he's not much of a s***-talker. I could see him retiring at the end of the year and I could also see him being stubborn and wanting to play for a few more. Great point, it happened with Jordan, Thomas and now Urlacher.
  11. The Bears shameful ineptitude at putting an NFL level offense on the field robbed Urlacher of at the least one SB title. Godspeed #54
  12. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 02:32 PM) <!--quoteo(post=2770461:date=Mar 19, 2013 -> 12:42 AM:name=Jordan4life)-->QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 12:42 AM) <!--quotec-->The LeBron dunk over Jason Terry last night was just dirty. 6 weeks ago Durant was my MVP. f*** that. 23 game winning streak and his overall brilliance, LeBron's 4th MVP in 5 years is all but assured. whoa just saw it Nice dunk but people are overreacting on this dunk and D Jordan's dunk on Knight. I don't find a dunk on a way smaller player all that impressive. I like dunks when they are on equal sized or larger opponents but that's just me. Kobe on Dwight Howard for example, that's a dunk.
  13. There was a time when this thread was about, you know, basketball before it turned into sports journalism 101...If you want to b**** about ethics in sports reporting, make a damn thread about it so I can avoid it and just read about basketball here.
  14. RIP Clive Burr HUGE Iron Maiden fan growing up.
  15. Yeah, pretty strange but stop worrying.
  16. Kids being kids. If no other incidents have happened since September, I wouldn't worry about it. I wonder why it took you so long to post this? Has it been bothering you or something.
  17. I just got internet service for my house this week and was anxiously waiting to get online last night and play NBA 2K12. Needless to say, I might be the last dude on Earth to have found out 2K Sports took down the NBA 2K12 servers last November. What a ripoff. If 2K Sports thinks I'm dumb enough to go plunk 60 bucks for the '13 version just so a few months down the line they take down those servers to force me into getting the latest version, they are f***ing nuts. f*** 2K Sports, I love their games but I'm never buying another one of their titles.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 09:34 AM) So, um, are the Heat ever going to lose again? No
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 11:55 AM) I refuse to believe that DeAndre Jordan actually made the free throw that followed. ..............
  20. QUOTE (TomSeaverFan @ Mar 3, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) I did a google and can't tell if he's still with the Yankees. Is he still pitching? He signed a minor league contract last April with the Rockies.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 11:20 AM) <!--quoteo(post=2767499:date=Mar 10, 2013 -> 10:05 PM:name=buhbuhburrrrlz)-->QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Mar 10, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) <!--quotec--> love the kids reactions Poor Brandon Knight. Classic case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
  22. lol@the Hornets, they were defending the wrong basket... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIprRLpFbWE
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 07:33 PM) Magic has apparently offered to put up a million dollars if LBJ would enter the dunk contest. Meh, does anyone really actually care about dunk contests? They've been practically the same show the last 2 decades. Bron's in-game dunks are spectacular enough.
  24. I've no idea who any of those people are but since it's sports radio, I'll take a wild guess and say I'm not missing much.
