  1. Not that it matters necessarily but Pederson reworked his swing last off-season with Matt Lisle FWIW.
  2. Joc Pederson is good. He posted a 125 wRC+ last year with 25 homers. He's bad vs LHP but put up a 139 wRC+ vs RHP with a wOBA of .374. About a 3 WAR player. If they can get it done for Bummer/Fulmer, it'd be fantastic. I hope that Rich Hill is involved personally and taking on that $$ lessens the prospect load. I don't think Bryce Bush would be involved but we really shouldn't freak out regardless about acquiring 3 WAR outfielders for lottery tickets. I interviewed Bush last year and wrote a profile on him. He's a great kid. He wasn't a top 75 draft prospect. He was about a 5th-6th round talent that the Sox fortunately got with a 33rd rounder. He can hit but I'm not sold that he'll stay on the infield long-term. I'd rather keep him but this isn't a Fernando Tatis situation. Tatis never even played affiliated ball for the Sox.
  3. Well looks like I have a new poster to block. My lord.
  4. I like Morant but he shoots 30% from 3. I think Bulls pick higher than that in the end.
  5. I think the Yankees are still under the luxury threshold actually
  6. Because they weren't giving out 3 year deals to relievers. Herrera is also 3 years younger.
  7. Danny Parkins and Jeff Passan are buddies. Passan used to go on Parkins' show weekly in KC and here. You could tell that Parkins got agitated when Bruce went after him.
  8. I think Basabe, Robert, Adolfo and Gonzalez are all ahead and closer to majors than Rutherford. I think Rutherford debuts for another org personally
  9. I think it will end up being Wade Miley
  10. I'd prefer Machado at 3B for obvious reasons but what if they played him at SS and signed a 2B like Asdrubal Cabrera (111 wRC+ last year ) and another SP like Ervin Santana? Is this a wildcard contender? 1. Moncada 3B 2. Cabrera 2B 3. Machado SS 4. Abreu 1B/DH 5. Alonso 1B/DH 6. Jimenez LF 7. Castillo C 8. Jay RF 9. Anderson CF Rotation 1. Rodon LHP 2. Lopez RHP 3. Santana RHP 4. Nova RHP 5. Giolito RHP Bullpen Colome (RHP) Herrera (RHP) Fry (LHP) Jones (RHP) Hamilton (RHP) Frare (LHP) Covey (RHP)
  11. And then Tim Anderson moves to CF?
  12. I think he wanted to play SS to get paid more. I don't think it's a dealbreaker at this point because he won't be playing SS in NY or Philly either.
  13. I think he's going to pick the White Sox but I really hope he's not playing shortstop. He's so much better at 3B.
  14. This isn't true though. They've offered more $$ than Abreu's contract to other players. Alex Gordon and Tanaka included.
  15. Hasn't been one because it's not actually official. Sox haven't announced the deal.
  16. I do think it gets done but I can't stress enough that I'm not reporting it by any means. I don't know people that are close to this process. I know people that have very solid intel. Some of you also know those people. If I had to guess then yes I'm pretty confident that Manny Machado ends up on the White Sox. It's a guess though.
  17. If it gets done, the deal will be for well north of $200 million. Nothing to see here from Bob guys.
  18. Are you kidding me right now? The cheap narrative? They've made bad moves in the past but they've spent lots of $$ consistently for going on a decade now. Fangio was the highest paid DC in the sport next year. This is a bad take.
  19. They aren't being cheap.
  20. I don't have any sources. People that do are confident however. Hoping for resolution by this weekend is merely wishful thinking on my part. I think the Sox are in really good shape due to a softer than anticipated market. Pay attention to raBBit and the resident board insider here that keeps dropping good clues. Like the rest of you, I'm anxiously awaiting word. I feel pretty good though.
  21. Some douchebag
  22. This trade is a nothing. They took on MCW and waived him and were given cash to cover the transaction. Nothing to see here. The draft pick won't convert.
  23. Shane is a producer at 670 The Score.
