  1. Kiley McDaniel ‏@kileymcd 13m13 minutes ago Source: White Sox sign former Dodgers 1B Chris Jacobs to a minor league deal. 25 homers in the Cal League last year.
  2. QUOTE (WKamm @ Dec 18, 2014 -> 06:14 PM) He might be a good option at 2b. That will give Sanchez another year to develop. There's already a thread for this

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 18, 2014 -> 01:14 PM) They are all nuts and loud. Oh yeah. Incredibly nuts.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 18, 2014 -> 09:06 AM) Because many sure fire prospects have busted. Call it Tom Jones Syndrome... It's not unusual. Okay well I'm willing to say that he's going to be an absolute stud. If I'm wrong, I'll be the first one to admit it.
  5. QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 10:49 PM) Really. Wow, I think you are getting way ahead of yourself. Hsve you seen his walk rate? That could be a real problem for success in the mlb. I actually think Rodon is more similar to David Price. Still an ace though. Carlos Rodon is a future #1 starter in the major leagues. Not sure why people are really doubting that.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 18, 2014 -> 07:38 AM) I'd rather watch Fales. Not that it matters. Of course you would. So would everybody. Trestman is doing this, hoping that Clausen will run the offense properly and Trestman can blame Jay and parlay that into an OC job somewhere.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 05:52 PM) Got to be Emery. Completely disagree. This is all Trestman. Emery threw Trestman under the bus Monday night for not firing Kromer. This is Trestman firing back at Emery. Trestman knows that he is fired in 2 weeks and he's gonna go down his own way.

  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 01:55 PM) Well let's start with this. Here is the latest Top 25 in the system, which was mid-season before recent trades (so no Ynoa or Garcia, but also you'll have to ignore Bassitt, Ravelo. 1. Carlos Rodon 2. Tim Anderson 3. Micah Johnson 4. Courtney Hawkins 5. Spencer Adams 6. Francellis Montas 7. Matt Davidson 8. Tyler Danish 9. Carlos Sanchez 10. Rangel Ravelo 11. Trey Michalczewski 12. Micker Adolfo 13. Chris Beck 14. Cleuluis Rondon 15. Jacob May 16. Jace Fry 17. Trayce Thompson 18. Kevan Smith 19. Andy Wilkins 20. Scott Snodgress 21. Keon Barnum 22. Adam Engel 23. Tyler Saladino 24. Jordan Guerrero 25. James Dykstra Others who got votes: Chris Bassitt, Mike Recchia, Brett Austin, Jefferson Olacio, Jason Coats, Antonio Rodriguez, Jake Jarvis, Luis Martinez, Taylor Thompson, Andrew Mitchell, Kyle Hansen, Omar Narvaez, JB Wendelken, Andre Wheeler Also bear in mind this list doesn't include guys outside Prospect status technically but that are younger guys who are likely to be a part of the future, i.e. Erik Johnson. I think INF Jake Peter, and RHP Luis Martinez and Nolan Sanburn will be firmly in the top 20.
  10. QUOTE (oldsox @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 07:42 AM) Josh, fill us in on Instructional League stats/comments. I believe all of that info is posted in the Micker Adolfo thread.

Hottest collection of Real World ladies in awhile on the new season. Real crazy though.
  12. I bet his getting creative idea was platooning Ichiro and Tank. Yikes.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 06:59 PM) Oakland. I don't usually come on here with sources because I really don't have any but I do know a guy that knows Tom Crean very well. Said that Harbaugh would take the Bears job if offered it. I know for a fact that he was the McCaskey's dream candidate around 2009 when he was still at Stanford. They loved him when he was here.
  14. J a k e @JakeInRealLife · 13m 13 minutes ago DAYAN VICIEDO is an anagram of AVOID CYANIDE. Just saying. #mariners This sums up the thoughts of Mariners fans. I'm angry that none of us have ever thought of this either. Damn.
  15. QUOTE (professa @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 05:33 PM) Everth Cabrera. I'd be willing to take that flyer as well. Bonifacio is intriguing too. I think Ichiro is destined to be the Sox 4th OF
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 04:47 PM) Chris Cotillo ‏@ChrisCotillo 23s24 seconds ago #Padres and #Rays in discussions on significant trade involving WIl Myers, per @Ken_Rosenthal. Unclear how close. Why would TB trade Wil Myers?
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 01:23 PM) If Polian says no, throw a bunch of money at Ron Wolf and let him help make the decisions to get the right people in. They really need to change everything and what will really seal the deal is if we lose these next two. I do want our young players to play well and show improvement though. Go back and look at some those Polian draft classes of his later years. Yuck. His kid is a dips*** too and he would want him to come along.
  18. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 10:26 AM) Stupid teams that will convince themselves that the Bears organization was the problem, not Cutler. My dream is that everyone from Emery, the coaches, Cutler, nearly everyone on defense, etc. are gone. But this is the Bears guys. Kromer will get canned. Tucker will get canned. And that's it. They'll keep singing the praises of the future and potential and progress and Bear Down and Ditka and blah blah and we'll accept our typical .500 or worse, no playoff season as we have for nearly ever season for the last 40 years. And Cavanaugh will be OC and Pasqualoni as DC? I'm not buying it.

  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 09:08 AM) People watched the Bears last night? Why? Well I went to the game because I bought tickets in week 3. I would have shut it off at home though.
  21. QUOTE (ron883 @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 10:19 PM) I'm glad some people feel the same way I do. I just can't morally bring myself to support this team. I have zero respect for roiders. Signing a third roider to this team? I don't want this to be thought of like the Bosox teams that were fueled by steroids. Maybe it will get better if this team is winning, but I just can't bring myself to cheer for Melky. LOL. My advice to you would be to stop watching sports in general.

  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 05:18 PM) I agree, and I have no idea what it was that Law saw, but that was his claim - the "good change, decent slider, big fastball, looks like a reliever" thing - and then he said "he got to the White Sox and added a 70 slider and now he looks like a true ace and yet White Sox fans won't let me hear the end of it." These guys are wrong from time to time or don't see guys at their best. Frankly, that slider is sexy but I think that changeup is still his best pitch. Law always has issues with guys that have unorthodox deliveries that don't look consistently repeatable. He wasn't a fan of Danish either but said that if anyone can make it work with him as a starter it's the White Sox.
  24. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 07:03 AM) I think the way things are run at Halas Hall, the way they like to beat things into the ground, Emery and Trest and Cutty will all be present in 2015 and feeding fans the same crap. I don't think Trestman survives. He really can't at this point.
  25. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 09:19 AM) Mario Williams is damn near unstoppable right now. It's amazing to think that the Texans, for 5 games, had both Mario Williams and JJ Watt. Frankly, I'm not sure there's a better 4-3 end in the game right now. The Bills really confused Rodgers in the secondary but it definitely wasn't all his fault. The Bills will be a scary team if they can get into the postseason, but that involves them beating both Oakland and New England, both on the road, and then getting some help too. Wite, what are they going to do at QB for next year? Take a run at a young veteran? RG3, Bradford?
