I brought this up in another thread. Is Rickie Weeks horrible defensively and could he play 3B? He had a. .865 OPS vs LHP last season (Only 155 PA) and still has a ton of power.

This doesn't change anything with Rodon. Leave him down to get the extra year of control. Don't worry about Super II status, but the extra year is key. I'd start him in Birmingham with the rest of our prospects. Get him a few starts in Charlotte and get him to the big leagues by June.

I hate the contract. Love the pitcher. I'll get over it because it's not my money though.

I thought that Semien profiled best as a utility player and Bassitt as a reliever so I think this is an awesome deal. Getting Samardzija to extend would put White Sox in contention for a long time. I was hoping that a package like this was all that it would take but I was skeptical. Great thread guys.

If they move Danish, the org must feel like he's a reliever long term.

I'd much rather have KRod on a short-term deal than Robertson for $50 million.
