It’s been like 15 games for Eloy, Avi had this problem for like ~2,500 plate appearances.

I’d normally agree, but catcher is the one spot I don’t like fucking around with. Forcing a bad receiver on our young pitchers is a risk simply not worth taking IMO. Also, FWIW, McCann is under team control for one more year if we want him.

I don’t recall seeing this, but I definitely could have missed it.

For now, with Moncada up next it may not be tied for long.

Because McCann has been Rodon & Giolito’s personal catcher this year and so far both have show some real promise. I’d rather not disrupt that in hopes of Swihart turning into a backup catcher.

Could definitely be a muscle strain or cramp in the leg. Just don’t see how it could be hip related.

Looked like he couldn’t put weight on his ankle after his delivery without pain. I’m no expert here, but it certainly looked like an ankle injury from my untrained eye.

I think it’s just frustration. If it was serious, I’d hope they wouldn’t let him walk off the field on his own.
