  1. The All Star break was not timed well...
  2. That’s how I view it, seems like he’s actually getting a good amount of swing & misses. As long as the stuff is there, I have faith the command will come back with time.
  3. Hansen with 7 K’s & 6 BB’s through three.
  4. Like you said, probably his best first inning all year. Good velocity and command.
  5. Hansen has literally gone B, K, B, K, B so far in the 3rd. Looks like he’s due for a K if know my pattern recognitions.
  6. Lol...he’s definitely had a command meltdown since I posted that. Also, had a wild pitch.
  7. Hansen basically striking out and walking everyone. I would call that improvement from where he was though.
  8. I hope he can figure his shit out and end Engel’s reign of terror in CF.
  9. Hansen looking good through two!
  10. I was hoping White Sox Dave could have some comments, but unfortunately he’s at the Cubs game and probably plastered. Also, not a good choice by Yolmer there.
  11. I’ve said it before, but I think we get a FV 45 prospect for Soria. That’s a guy in the 150 to 300 overall range or back-half of an average org’s top 10 prospects. And IMO, Collins & Rutherford are both clear 50 FV prospects. I wouldn’t expect a prospect of their caliber for Soria.
  12. While I’m not optimistic Covey will remain a starter, he’s shown enough to warrant an extended look. If the front office feels both Kopech & Stephens are ready, I’d simply give Kopech Shields’ spot in the rotation and Stephens a long relief spot. Then depending on how Covey does down the stretch, Stephens would potentially get a shot during the first half of 2019.
  13. There are so few starters available (at least it seems that way) that I think he goes before August.
  14. I agree. Unless shit goes south, I think he should have a slash line around where you have it. And honestly, if he gives up catching and focuses entirely on hitting I could those numbers potentially improve.
  15. I’d like to think it would be Stephens, but I really feel like it will end up being Kopech.
  16. I mean, this is the key right here. The fact he’s already a 3 WAR player despite his warts will buys him time. And when we’re talking about his development, it’s going from good to great or hopefully elite. It’s going to be a while before we need to worry about upgrading a 3 WAR mid 20’s 2B if that’s all he ends up being.
  17. I think the changeup is the real problem. He’s basically a two pitch pitcher right now and that’s not going to work. What doesn’t make sense to me is why they aren’t forcing him to throw it more. He’s never going to gain confidence in the pitch if he never uses it.
  18. General consensus is the Mets did pretty terrible with the Familia deal, potentially due to their three-headed GM monster. Still optimistic about a Soria trade, but probably need to wait closer until the deadline and hope the teams that miss out on Britton get a bit desperate.
