  1. Lol dude...I hope you are like 90 years old or something, because your lack of patience is astounding.
  2. I was the biggest Davidson hater coming into the year, but we really don’t know what he is. The fact he’s posted double digit walk rates every single month makes him a guy that requires further evaluation, especially given his raw power. IMO, he is the clear favorite right now for the 2019 DH job over Palka & Delmonico. Maybe they’ll decide to upgrade or add a 1B and move Jose to DH, but Matt has improved his stock enough to be considered an option. Admittedly, that could all change by season’s end.
  3. Come on mods, this is obvious trolling if I have ever seen it. Davidson has tripled his BB rate from last year, while cutting down his K rate slightly & maintaining his power. His OPS is nearly 100 points better and all his traditional stats (the ones Greg would cite) are projected to better. This is baiting plain & simple. Why do we allow him to purposely derail threads like this?
  4. They weren’t making the playoffs before AND had a bottom five farm system. If we hadn’t decided to rebuild when we did, we would have been setup for a decade of disaster. That’s why I can’t understand people are complaining about this. Yes, it’s Rick & KW’s fault we got to that point, but rebuilding was the only real alternative. Blowing it up was actually less risky than holding onto our guys and potentially losing them for nothing.
  5. I agree. LaVine has his flaws and this contract could be a problem in a few years, but he does have superstar upside and I don’t see a choice but gambling on it.
  6. Remember when we all thought we got Kemp for Clippard last year. That would have been nice.
  7. It’s been really bad, although nothing Moncada could do about that last pitch.
  8. Cy McCullers putting in work tonight. I need another drink to watch this garbage.
  9. I can’t wait for the day Engel is no longer part of our everyday lineup.
  10. Cease pretty damn good so far!
  11. Seems like our advanced scouting has been terrible my entire lifetime.
  12. While I’m leaning torwards dealing Abreu if value can be had, ultimately I have no problem keeping him around for a while. I would move him to DH and let Davidson be the primary 1B if we decide to hold onto him.
  13. I think Madrigal & Rivera will be the middle infield at AA with both playing some SS & 2B.
  14. Do we know where his velocity is at this year? He was mid 90’s I believe when we first drafted him, but fell down to the high 80’s / low 90’s last year.
  15. I’d keep him High A the rest of the season. Let him start the 2019 season as a 24 year old in AA. He’d be a little old for the league, but I think that would be a fair assignment.
  16. If we’re doing a biggest dissapoints roster, he are my picks: 1B: Chris Carter 2B: Gordon Beckham SS: Mike Caruso 3B: Josh Fields LF: Jeremy Reed CF: Brian Anderson RF: Joe Borchard DH: Dayan Viciedo _C: Josh Paul #1: Jason Bere #2: Jon Rauch #3: Kip Wells #4: Scott Ruffcorn #5: Danny Wright CL: Billy Koch SU: Mike MacDougal SU: David Aardsma MR: Nick Masset MR: Andy Sisco MR: Jacob Petricka LR: Lorenzo Barcello
  17. Gotcha, makes sense then. I do think some people forget how good Cameron actually was because we got Paulis for him. Obviously not the case here.
  18. Cameron put up 50 fWAR in his career (mostly not with us) and Foulke was pretty awesome for us before he was traded for the other two relievers you mentioned. Those two shouldn’t be on a disappointment list unless you’re sad their awesomeness wasn’t with us.
  19. Whether this is the right management team to lead the rebuilding efforts is up for debate, but blaming them for losing right now demonstrates a lack of intelligence as losing comes with the plan. I really hope that's not what you're suggesting.
