To be honest, the actions of some players reflect the entitlement problem this country has. These guys have the opportunity to earn themselves hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars by playing a game they love if they simply follow the safety protocols instituted by MLB. Obviously there would still be positives just from normal day to day activities, but the amount would be greatly reduced and team wide hits like with the Marlins wouldn’t happen. Instead, some of these guys feel they are entitled to go out clubbing at night and a huge number of them aren’t taking social distancing seriously in the slightest when on the field. It’s one thing to put your own well being in danger, but the lack of compassion this country has for one another is astounding and that selfishness will get some people sick and may end up costing us the luxury that is watching Major League Baseball during a pandemic.

If they plan on playing with 18 players one team getting COVID, my guess the only thing stopping them is someone getting severely ill. Let’s all hope that doesn’t happen for the sake of the players and our own sanity.

Agree on that as well. And he greatly improves the infield defense just in time for Keuchel start which is nice.

He’s going make a lot of weak contact at first and it will be frustrating, but he’ll generally bring quality at-bats to the table which will add some nice balance to a swing & miss heavy offense.
