  1. They are expected to pitch this year? If so, that’s great to here.
  2. I think Burger will start at High A and will move to Birmingham if he has a strong first half. They have to be aggressive with him next year to make up for lost time. Just crazy for a position player to lose two full seasons due to the same essential injury.
  3. I’m praying this second half collapse is the lever that forces change. Even with more talent, Ricky will always be an obstacle we’ll have to overcome.
  4. Burger still recovering from a “bruised heal” and not expected back this season. I’m guessing Thompson & Dalquist are instructs but won’t be pitching this year. James Beard is the definition of a project and it’s going to take some before we know what we have in him. High risk, high reward player and odds are it won’t work, but no reason to jump to conclusions just yet.
  5. Narvaez had a very flukey offensive season in 2018 and was a terrible defensive catcher. If he was a desirable commodity, someone would have given up much more than Alex Colome. And no, his framing isn’t suddenly decent. He’s still a terrible defensive catcher all around. As for his offensive numbers this year, his quality of contact continues to suck. His flukey power numbers have started trending down significantly and right now he’s relying on an unsustainable BABIP (his xBA is 40 points high then his actual BA) to inflate his season totals. Dude has always had a strong eye at the plate which allows him to be a league average bat. The problem is that’s not very valuable when are a horrible defensive catcher.
  6. Sheets’ turnaround has been incredible. 14 HRs more than doubles his output last year in an extremely friendly offensive park/league. Really wish they’d reward him with a promotion to Charlotte, but very unlikely at this point.
  7. This is a guy that wants to give Jose a 3/39 extension to “penalize” the owner of his favorite sports team. Do not try to reason with him.
  8. Either Hahn doesn’t pay close attention to the actual games or he hasn’t read any of the numerous research on the value (or lack thereof) of bunting. It’s just crazy in this day in age that our manager operates like it’s the 1980’s.
  9. Hahn must not watch these games, because I cannot comprehend how he allows Ricky to be such an idiot day after day.
  10. I can appreciate that line of thinking fathom, just don’t see how anything that just happened that inning should trigger that response. Kid looked really fucking good.
  11. Bummer is an absolute stud and hopefully a huge part of this rebuild.
  12. Lol...one unlucky inning is all it look for this overreaction.
  13. I don’t disagree. I do personally like Walker’s tools better though and I feel like he’s a guy who could really benefit from the juiced ball.
  14. Fair take. Walker may be no different in the end and AA will be the real test no doubt.
