I could see KW going after an underachiever who won't cost as much in a trade, like say, Hermida. I just can't see Upton coming here and blossoming.

While an outfield of Rios and Upton would be pretty sexy defensively, there is a lot of underachieving going on there at the plate. Also I don't think we have the bait to pull that trade off.

Matsui wouldn't be a bad option, but i'm guessing he will want more money/years than he is realistically worth.

The simple answer is - keep all of them and use them for depth/bullpen. I could def. see Torres and Hudson adding some much needed pen stability next year. Haven't seen enough of Hynick but he's pitched well tonight. Freddy has earned his paycheck and will likely get brought back, so he is the default 5th starter. Probably go Freddy, Hynick, Hudson, Torres in that order.

Not sure I see how shirek is a better prospect than john ely considering he's older and has less impressive numbers. My top 5 is the same as KHP but after that it gets fuzzy.

I was half joking and half not. I'm not one to give up after April. It is kind of hilarious how awful some of the lineups we're putting out there have been.

Thats what I forsee, sadly. So now I must do the unthinkable - root for an AL central team to do really well and shut the Sox out. It goes against every impulse in my body - waves of nausea even now - but its the Sox only hope.
