Hard to believe the Yankees actually had a payroll of under $100 mill in 2000...this year they would have doubled that...amazin and yeah, the Sox had a payroll of 35 mill in 2000?!?!?That's expansion team #s..and we actully won that year..baseball, aint it a great game.. I'm still iffy about Contreas..we're banking on him to live up to the hype..he had some nice pitched games for us last year, but can he be consistent the entire year..especially against above .500 teams? I'm confident if healthy Hernandez can pitch some quality games for us, but I have a feeling he's gonna get like dead arm late in the season when we really need him and then what.. Good thing the pen is improved..we might need them more than ever.
