  6. Does anyone realize how much this guy sucks with runners in scoring position?? Isn't that a big indicator of how good a hitter really is?
  7. Is it possible he will be our starting first basemen? Or is he going to be DH?

  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 10:55 AM) It's somewhat fair. I don't want him back for 3 more years, the salary amount makes sense. ^^^^^^^
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 08:55 PM) Any of those are possible, I would put the most money on Beckham despite the sophomore slump possibilities. He already had that the last 4-6 weeks of 2009, IMO. The least likely to happen would be a major transaction ACQUIRING ADDITIONAL SALARY. There's a 50/50 chance of a big deal going down though...but it will be revenue neutral, not like the Rios and Peavy deals. Garcia pitching after May doesn't make sense if the Sox are eliminated. You bring up Hudson unless you're going to trade him, which would be absolutely insane at this point. I agree completely with what you said about Garcia, as well as the revenue neutral deal. Do you think well see a contract extension for Konerko then?
  11. Fact or Fiction: *Beckham hits over 290 on the season *Peavy wins 15 games *Jenks finishes the season as closer *Quentin Hits 30 home runs *Scott Linebrink will be on the roster come august * Freddy Garcia will be the 5th starter come July * KW will make a major trade mid-season (A-Gone type of deal) * White Sox make the playoffs

  20. White Sox general manager Kenny Williams plans to address the Johnny Damon situation on Sunday, according to Scot Gregor of the Daily Herald. "I will talk about this on Sunday," said Williams, his first public comment regarding the free agent outfielder. Gregor reminds that Williams has a long history of ignoring media requests when he's on the verge of making a trade or signing a free agent. Coincidentally, Sunday is the day pitchers and catchers report to Glendale. Gregor takes this to mean that Williams already knows that Damon has agreed to sign with the Tigers. It's just speculation at the moment, so stay tuned. Feb. 18 - 11:54 am et Source: Daily Herald
  21. Per Ken Rosenthal's twitter #WhiteSox 1-yr offer to Damon includes heavy deferrals. Present-day value in $4.5M range. Keep hearing Damon does not want #Tigers.
