  1. QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:05 PM) What game by Mark. Did we ever need this. and this is why he is my favorite player
  2. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 08:55 PM) Doc, still no LaRoche love in the front office? as of last night, no who the heck leaves chan ho park in the game to give up 2 slams in one inning to the same guy??
  3. wow 3 horrible at bats with the bases loaded against a bad pitcher, good thing it wont matter
  4. i mean seriously 0-24 on the season against lefties, what more evidence do you need?
  5. i gotta say i didnt like the vizquel signing but he has won me over big time
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 08:14 PM) He's too slow to play the outfield now. Teahen actually looked pretty quick on Cuddyer's double. I've said this before, but I think management didn't evaluate Kotsay's ability to play the outfield well last season. They thought he could do it....but can't well then what the hell is the point
  7. is kotsay a worse outfielder than Teahan? i thought his value was that he could at least play multiple positions (except DH)
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 07:53 PM) Wow Kotsay, just pathetic at bats so far. this season?
  9. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:21 AM) I'd like to see Quentin hit a grand slam and talk s*** rounding the bases like he did here. Those were the good 'ole days. man that was awesome, the place was rocking that night. and Morgan said KW was trying to get Andruw Jones, HA
  10. I dont see anyone getting plunked tonight. Besides I don't think we want Mark to be the one to be the plunker. Now in Sept if its all over then lets start a war like Jeff Weaver on the Tigers. Also, I doubt we can get much in a waiver deal now.
  11. I am trying to stay positive. I really thought the Delmon thing fired up the team and was going to lead us to a sweep. And then that stupid HR destroyed any momentum we had. I am very cranky right now.
  12. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 05:06 PM) Source believes Luke Scott was claimed by either Angels or White Sox. Also doesn't think Brad Hawpe will clear the NL. Scott was not claimed by the Sox.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 10:49 PM) Those top of 9th and 10th were extremely long innings though. I remarked in the game thread that the first pitch to start the 10th was only 92 mph to Young. the pitch to thome was also 92.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) Mah booty is soo tight. You couldn't pull a greased nail with plyers out right now.... Who are you, Ludicris?
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 09:50 PM) Jackson's 3 starts have not been good enough for you? TO THIS POINT, on August 17th, 2010, it has been a great trade. Jackson's 3 starts have been FAR better than the starts Hudson gave us before the trade. So yes, from the date of the trade to now, the trade has been great. What Hudson does to NL lineups is irrelevant. Oh no I am not saying that. Jackson has been fantastic. But we have no idea what Hudson would have given us. If upgrading the #4 starter is not enough to make the playoffs than perhaps the trade wasn't the best use of our resources. If Hudson is as good or as close to as good as Jackson next year than Jackson is not worh $8,000,000 more. The money could have been used to upgrade another position that may have gotten us in the playoffs. Simply the fact that Jackson pitches well doesn't make it a great trade.
  16. QUOTE (C_LEE45 @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) it not going extra innings nope we are pissed off now and are going to sweep the series
  17. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 09:44 PM) Up to this point, it hasn't been a bad trade. In fact, it's been a great trade. No it hasn't, the only way it is a great trade is if Jackson significantly outperforms Hudson and we make the playoffs
  18. These are 3 really important innings in the rest of our season. lets man up boys!
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 16, 2010 -> 12:32 PM) Absolutely dumbfounding. The Friday game of the Yankees series is Blackhawks night, with miniature Stanley Cup replicas as the giveaways. Another promotion that should be scheduled when the Royals/Orioles are in town, not when the guaranteed to sell out Yankees are in. Not to mention the fact that a large percentage of the crowd will be Yankee fans.
  20. QUOTE (IceCreamPants @ Aug 10, 2010 -> 03:34 PM) Best steak burrito...and I have had plenty throughout Chicagoland is The Mexico Steakhouse in Bridgeport. You wouldnt think this neighborhood would have the best one but it is. http://chicago.metromix.com/restaurants/st.../139574/content ever since i read this i have been dying for a steak burrito. i couldn't convince my buddies to go there after the game last night though
  21. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 10, 2010 -> 11:03 AM) Anyone play Limbo (360 arcade)? Little pricey at $15, but wow, what a cool game. i bought it but havent started it yet, glad to know its cool
  22. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Aug 10, 2010 -> 04:17 AM) i doubt that's the type of mexican he's talking about. and topolobampo is really expensive......but delicious. Topo is my favorite restaurant in the city. Fantastic mexican food but they certainly dont have burritos!
