  1. Yeahh, u clearly didn’t see the fumble recovery they did not get in the first quarter.
  2. Meh, Mendick is going to be the opening day second basemen for a few weeks, you are going to need a little more depth then that to start the season and with the moves they have made so far I’m assuming they are going to want someone a little more proven to be able to handle infield duties.
  3. I can’t see them not bringing in a super utility guy and simply rolling with what we have. As constructed that seems to be really the last piece we need to go into the season.
  4. I still expect a utility infielder to be brought in. Someone who can play 2nd, SS, and 3rd.
  5. Great signing to wrap up an A+ offseason. Now the Whitesox just need to clear a couple roster spots to officially announce Cishek and Encarnacion.
  6. Hahaha well that would make a little more sense then rather than the former reds IF ?
  7. I’m all about trading Collins because I do not see a fit long term here with the Sox but not for him, he has more value then a utility infielder who will only start for a couple weeks.
  8. What does our international spending pool look like? Is he a player that signs now or later in June/July?
  9. This. The Sox aren’t signing their future closer and if Colome goes down or craps the bed they will have a couple options before having to turn to one of these guys in an emergency. They just need another serviceable piece. If the Sox can get a healthy Herrera this season and he can bounce back that is just a bonus.
  10. He had a 2.95 era and was .1 WAR less this last season than Hudson. If he’s washed up Hudson is right there with him. Also, good thing we have Bummer for the 8th. Either one of these guys should be a 6-7th inning type of pitcher. If either are closing for the Sox then something has gone very wrong.
  11. He’s more of a known name, just pitched in the World Series as well
  12. Beat me to it by like 5 seconds. Dammit lol on top of that he converted 33 in a row for the marlins
  13. Cishek has 132 saves over his career Hudson only has 17
  14. If this were to happen, Hahn would need to be fired immediately. Talk about throwing the rebuild in the trash. Absolutely terrible move.
  15. This moron is back again? Last offseason didn’t teach everyone how much of a fraud he is?
  16. If Kopech does this, Gio repeats or has similar numbers to last year with what Keuchel can do and having Cease take the next step this rotation will be pretty Nasty regardless of who the 5th guy is.
  17. I think 86-88 wins is a good benchmark for this team. I look at last year at the ASB we were 40-42 and then went like on a 4-18 stretch out of the break to tank the second half and still came out with 72 Ws. This lineup is much improved over last years club the rotation had a gaping hole in the 4/5 spot and the entire AL Central has gotten worse. Call me optimistic but I think that 86 is a floor 90-92 in the ceiling.
