  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:19 PM) Was it that bad, 2 infield hits and a HR? Or was he getting hit hard the whole time or something? Nah he didn't really get hit hard. I just mean bad that we are in a early 2-0 hole and he threw a lot of pitches.
  2. HE GAWN Bad bad inning though. Down 2-0, Buehrle throws 25 pitches
  3. Infield hit to lead it off, Crede probably saved it from being 2
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) Pods gets on base 3 times today, book it. Error, HBP, Dropped 3rd strike. :headbang
  5. Pods, LF; Iguchi, 2B; Thome, DH; PK, 1B; Dye, RF; AJ, C; Crede, 3B; Mackowiak, CF; Cintron, SS; Buehrle pitching.
  6. Mark will step up and even up the series. LETS GO SOX
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 10:27 AM) But half of the selling point in the Lee deal was that we lose $8 million dollars off of the payroll. That allowed us to sign, IIRC, Iguchi, Pierzynski, and El Duque. Do we win the AL Central with Willie Harris, Ben Davis, and Jason Grilli/B-Mac in place of the former three? I dislike "Scotty" as much as anybody here, but I can see why the trade was made. There. It. Is. Dead on, agree 100%
  8. When pissed off I enjoy punching and throwing things. Including but not limited to chairs, remotes, and siblings.
  9. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) ^^^ Thome the God has 8 RBIs, and Crede has 7 at the bottom half of the lineup. I'm not sure what exactly you're expecting. I've been pleased with Crede, thus far. Crede has almost twice as many AB's w/ RISP though. That's not to say I don't like Crede, I'm pleased with how he's been playing.
  10. Awesome win, awesome sweep. A little concerned with Garland though
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) I'm just going to agree to disagree, but there is a reason why the teams that win are still routed in scouting and not stats that pop up out of a computer. I'm not knocking stats, they are important, but way overdone. And anyone that doesn't realize how over-rated OBP is well whatever. Its great to have a nice OBP but more important is a hitters ability to HIT. Having a good eye makes him a more complete player. And having good STUFF has nothing to do whether you can throw strikes or not. Thats COMMAND, not STUFF.
  12. Mark Prior can no longer be considered for these kinds of things, he just can't.
  13. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 09:57 AM) ks will have no problem outrecruiting bruce almighty. IF you say so
  14. Back. On. Track. Jim Thome is just unbelievable

  18. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) I love it, Bronson Arroyo has homered off the Cubs twice this season. Both off of Rusch
  19. Brad Wilkerson has struck out in 16 of 34 AB's this year
  20. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) Hey guys, first post on the forums! Anyways, I agree with the topic starter. These guys have an insane amount of character and chemistry, even with the additions and subtractions. I almost expected them to start off slowly, with all the celebrations and presentatiosn and this and that.. but now look at them. Three solid starts in a row, with two wins. Buehrle dominated, and Garcia and Vazquez looked great. Plus, we got McCarthy who looks like a gem! I see great things coming to this team! Go Sox! Welcome!
  21. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) Willie Harris Time??? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
