I'm going to remain optimistic on Madrigal. He's got the makeup to get to the most of his abilities. That and I will not become one of those overly negative shit on everything SoxTalk posters. That being said, his hitting has been very disappointing so far.

I'm more worried about the hit tool than anything. That was supposed to be his carrying tool. And I was very fond of the pick at the time. I truly wonder what the Sox are/have been doing with his development plan.

Or maybe he got yelled at.

Haha. I think a few of us do that. I'm guilty. Hard not to when you read such glowing assessments of the hit tool, power, strike zone prowess and proximity to the bigs.

Yep. I'm not sure the top scouting reports changed much at all either. The most noteworthy ranking change for me is Baty jumping to 15 from 19. Other than that, the next biggest jump I see is Alec Marsh to 98 from 123. Marsh is pretty interesting though. Especially when your system desperately needs pitching.

Hmm. Is it just me, or is the Abrams draft profile not all that different from Tim Anderson? Albeit a prep player versus Juco. Both toolsy, both slightly raw, both high end speed grades, both with questions on sticking at SS with CF as a fallback? I imagine TA graded out higher on the power though. TA scouting report from BA from his draft year.
