  1. Will be a new BA mock today. Manuel notes that he has Moniak going number 1.
  2. keithlaw ‏@keithlaw 1h1 hour ago Hottest name I'm hearing right now for the #mlbdraft is Louisville @GoCards catcher Will Smith, .380/.476/.573 this year, 12 K in 191 PA John Manuel ‏@johnmanuelba 11m11 minutes ago @keithlaw Hey, just noticed you moved him up to 59 on your latest 100. Maybe we're light on him! keithlaw ‏@keithlaw 9m9 minutes ago @johnmanuelba i was light on him before! keithlaw ‏@keithlaw 24m24 minutes ago yes or athletic enough to movekeithlaw added, @keithlaw @GoCards Does he profile well enough defensively to stay at catcher?
  3. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 12:13 PM) Anyone have an idea why there are some rumblings the Sox are going to stay away from Collins? Not sure. Came from Callis. Law thinks they are still on him.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 10:46 AM) Callis said if the Brewers don't take Ray at 5, he thinks he'll fall to the Sox at 10. Sounds good to me. Also said, Ray or Lux at 10, and a college arm at 26. They are super high on Lux. Sounds like they are worried he will be around at 26.
  5. QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 07:12 AM) Ruling out Groome, Puk, Lewis have no chance of seeing them dropping. We need hitters in our system. I'm partial to bats, but the system needs everything to be quite honest.
  6. No argument against it here.
  7. Justin Dunn is another college arm that has major helium of late. Would be my preferred choice if that Sox go the pitching route at 10. Great fastball, solid secondaries, 4 pitch mix, but some command issues at times. Although not tiny, he's a bit under-sized. Always drawn to guys with that label for some reason.
  8. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) Tulane's Jake Rogers is the best defensive catcher in the draft. Carmel's own Cooper Johnson might take offense to that assessment.
  9. 3 hits one run. That's disheartening.
  10. I have this weird feeling that Vandy's Bryan Reynolds is going to be one of those players that falls precipitously in the draft and ends up becoming a nice value pick-up for some team. Boring name, draft-fatigue type, but solid/average tools across the board who could become a solid regular.
  11. Tatis Jr. mentioned in that article once again.
  12. What's Wil Myers up to nowadays?
  13. Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 1m1 minute ago The #Padres are expected to eat about half of remaining $56 million in Shields contract when they trade him.
  14. Dennis Lin ‏@sdutdennislin 6m6 minutes ago Believe the White Sox are still the likeliest destination for James Shields at this point. Dennis Lin ‏@sdutdennislin 5m5 minutes ago The Padres have incentive to finalize a deal before Shields' scheduled start tomorrow. Never know what can happen.
  15. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 12:23 PM) Um. I think Hill is going to require way more than Shields. Without question.
  16. Jim Callis ‏@jimcallisMLB 26m minutes ago Always fun podcasting w/Josh. Sneak preview: @WhiteSox fans may want to watch some Louisville games this weekend. Josh Nelson ‏@SSS_joshnelson 29m29 minutes ago Just finished recording with @jimcallisMLB to preview the MLB Draft. Definitely going to be a must listen on how it could shake down.
  17. Louisville about to get under way for those that want a look at Ray and possibly Funkhouser/Burdi/Smith.
  18. Weather delay for those wanting to see Puk/Reed and company in the Florida game.
  19. Hudson having serious command issues. Not the best time for it either.
  20. Alex: Delvin Perez is working out for the White Sox today. Have you heard them on him at 10 at all? Klaw: I’ve heard him sliding and now teams after the Padres are revisiting him when earlier it seemed like he wouldn’t get that far.
  21. Eric: You mentioned in your mock that the White Sox are recently on Collins. Would that be with the idea of going under-slot and using that money on high school talent that falls? Klaw: Doubt it. Collins isn’t getting past 12, so why would he take well under slot at 10?
  22. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 01:08 PM) Joey Lucchesi vs. Dakota Hudson at 1:30 on Espn3 About to tune in as well. Mainly because I could totally see the Sox grabbing Hudson if something goes awry in the top 9.
  23. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) whitesoxdave ‏@barstoolWSD 43m43 minutes ago Chicago, IL The #WhiteSox are working out Puerto Rican SS Delvin Perez, Wisconsin prep SS Gavin Lux and a few others at The Cell right now whitesoxdave ‏@barstoolWSD 9m9 minutes ago Chicago, IL Wisconsin C Ben Rortvedt also working out, pea shooter of an arm Interesting on Rortvedt. Best prep catcher in the class depending on who you ask. Bat first catcher currently, but could certainly stick behind the plate with some work/development by most accounts.
