  1. I got TB Rays, but not Lightning or Bucs. And I got Carolina Panthers but not Hurricanes haha.
  2. I was there and I started crying like a baby when they unveiled the outfield wall and set off the fireworks.
  3. Hopefully he gets a shot at batting 3rd. He'll run with it.
  4. At the game on Saturday some guy sin my section tried to start it. I stood up and told them "Sit down. The Wave SUCKS!. Watch the damn game!"
  5. The MLB umpiring continues to be a joke. 1. Alexei was safe, obviously. Can we get replay? Like, now? 2. The Rios strike zone was horses***, obviously. Can we implement the computerized strike zone? Like, now? 3. D. Lee's double was a foul ball, I rewound it several times and there is no doubt in my mind 4. According to my buddy, Gordon hit a ball down the third base line that was called foul but was fair, I didn't see the play so I'm not sure. 5. Alexei being called out at 2nd was incredibly weak. If the umpire got that call right, then the rule needs to be changed. Natural swinging motion shouldn't be interference.
  6. I wonder if steroids had anything to do with this his heart problems. RIP Lima Time
  7. They are going to get as much concession money as possible and cancel the game. Call it a hunch. And if I'm right, that makes the Sox a bunch of tools for making people sit out in the rain while knowing the game wouldn't be played.
  8. Does anyone else find it hilarious that Milton Bradley started getting "left calf tightness" right before he has to return to Chicago? Not that I care one way or the other, but its just hard to believe.
  9. I'm glad Quentin is DHing tonight. I went yesterday and sat in left behind Andruw. He was visibly upset and swearing when Quentin didn't make the catch on the single to lead off the 7th. It turned out that Lopez wouldn't have had a chance to bat (and hit a grand slam) if Quentin makes that catch. Jones in right for the rest of the season. If you want Quentin to play the field, he can still play left.
  10. I just came on here to make a post about Willie batting 3rd. What a joke...
  11. Is anyone else still confused as to what a "red flag" is?
  12. Jones started 4 games in a row, he can use a day off. Rios could use tomorrow off and then Beckham and Quentin on Sunday. Our hottest hitters shouldn't play everyday or they will get tired and lose their groove.
  13. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 05:59 PM) Almost as much as your sense of humor does. If you ever find it. I think you're the one who missed it buddy
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 12:02 PM) I'm an electrician?
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 11:57 AM) This thread makes me realize how I miss the catch-all thread. This post makes me realize how I didn't miss you.
  16. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/video/play...71&c_id=cws Hawk and Stoney claim the ball didn't hit AJ. All of my friends were texting me last night saying they love AJ for faking it. Last night I thought it hit him and after watching the video a few times, I still think it hit him. Thoughts?
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 12:10 AM) No. He probably knew. There were rumors flying around that the Twins had major interest. Unfortunately, when a player really wants to come here, we don't welcome him because of our selfish manager, who really wants it to have it his way. If we didn't trade Brian Anderson last year, Thome would be on this team. I'll put $100 on our DH having better numbers than Thome. Now obviously Thome won't have as many at-bats, but take his numbers and multiply them out over the number of at-bats that our DH has better numbers. I guess you can just say its a hunch.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:45 PM) Yes I think he's a good basestealer. I agree Oz's call was wrong cause it didn't work. But I understand the move completely. This series proved that we got some work to do; Cleveland by all accounts is a pretty mediocre team. You understand taking the bat out of Beckham and Quentin's hands and giving their at-bats to Andruw Jones? Explain that one to me...
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:46 PM) Look at the 5th spot in the order. See who isn't there. Ryan Howard isn't there. Neither is Albert Pujols. Would you like to talk about their games?
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:35 PM) I'm saying you guys are right ... because it didn't work. But I think the bunt was the right call, even with Beckham. And I know it wasn't.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:39 PM) JIM THOME JUST HIT A THREE RUN BOMB!!!!! What's that have to do with today's Indians/White Sox game?
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:25 PM) I still say it's a different ballgame in the bottom of the ninth, with nobody out and a man on first. Bunt 'em over and win the damn game. Good teams get it done. Cleveland even went to the bunt in the exact same situation. You need one run; you don't need a rally. Bottom of the ninth; bunt him over and win the damn game. The lowly Tribe got a clutch hit with man on second; why couldn't we??? Completely different situation. Valbuena isn't a base stealer and Marson is 0-for-this season. If Pierre isn't going to be given a chance to steal in that situation, then he shouldn't even be on this team.
