  1. Schultz sure has his share of hurts. But, what I don't get is that they told him to stop throwing the cutter. The cutter is a great pitch. Just ask Mariano Rivera. Buehrle threw a good one, IIRC. Plus, it's easy on the arm.
  2. Yah, and the first time he misjudges a fly ball next year, well, I can tell the content from this forum. Then, you have to carry a defensive replacement for him. Then, he's going back and forth and ends up hitting .210. He's a Catcher.
  3. Good question.
  4. Just reminiscing, but it wasn't too many years ago that Sox had 3 really good-looking Latin infield prospects: Sosa, Popeye at short, Ramos at third. Sosa is the only one to have put it together.
  5. I didn't know what to think about it, and I still don't. One thing I learned a long time ago is that little kids need to be taught lessons all the time. Just handing a kid a baseball is not a lesson learned. Nor is handing a foul ball grounder from the ball boy to a swarm of kids. Of course I'm a hypocrite, cuz I have given a ball to a kid.

Wolkow with a big game. 3 hits, homer, double. I still have hope. Next year will be important for him. I'm wondering what Sox have in mind for him in this off-season, and how this differs from what other teams would do for him.

This 40-man stuff should be in a separate thread.

    Antonacci has cooled off.
  9. Good chance that both will be even better next year.
  10. I thought Teel was gonna kiss Leasure after the third out. Come to think of it, I thought he was gonna kiss Altavilla after the third out the inning before.
  11. Just gonna say that. Should have caught that.
  12. I was thinking the same thing. I hate that MF> Still the dirtiest play I have ever seen.

18th rounder last year. Lots of K's, so Sox will prob trade him for a 34-year-old soft tossing lefty.
  14. I've seen a few butchers in the outfield. Not many in MLB. When Schwarber first came up with Cubs, he qualified.
  15. Hey, he just lifted his head up to see what the runner was gonna do. Besides, he should be in Center. He would have caught that first hit.
  16. We've had a few. Lance Lynn for one.
  17. I have never heard of anyone getting shafted "a little bit".
  18. Colson not much better. I have no idea why he didn't tag up.
  19. Sox commit an error with 2 outs in the second, so naturally the pitcher then can't get anyone out. I kind of remember a couple or more decades ago when Hawk would say that a really good pitcher would bear down after an error to pick up his teammate. He emphasized that Mark Buehrle was known for that. Some of you probably heard the same thing.
