Just reminiscing, but it wasn't too many years ago that Sox had 3 really good-looking Latin infield prospects: Sosa, Popeye at short, Ramos at third. Sosa is the only one to have put it together.
I didn't know what to think about it, and I still don't. One thing I learned a long time ago is that little kids need to be taught lessons all the time. Just handing a kid a baseball is not a lesson learned. Nor is handing a foul ball grounder from the ball boy to a swarm of kids. Of course I'm a hypocrite, cuz I have given a ball to a kid.
Wolkow with a big game. 3 hits, homer, double. I still have hope. Next year will be important for him. I'm wondering what Sox have in mind for him in this off-season, and how this differs from what other teams would do for him.
I thought Teel was gonna kiss Leasure after the third out.
Come to think of it, I thought he was gonna kiss Altavilla after the third out the inning before.
Sox commit an error with 2 outs in the second, so naturally the pitcher then can't get anyone out. I kind of remember a couple or more decades ago when Hawk would say that a really good pitcher would bear down after an error to pick up his teammate. He emphasized that Mark Buehrle was known for that. Some of you probably heard the same thing.
