  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 01:20 PM) If Humber is pitching anywhere like he was last year, then the price for him ought to rival Ubaldo Jiminez. That's why I think you shop him. He'll be in his 30's when the team is ready to contend.
  2. If we acquire more young pitching, do you shop Humber at the deadline if he's pitching well?
  3. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 11:40 AM) Yes, I'm terrified. Every single AA deal we've made has left me at least uneasy and at worst sad. I mean, KW hasn't "won" any of them. They haven't been disasters, but they've all been at least slightly in the Blue Jays favor. Like hell Frasor 1 & 22 were. I say we won those.
  4. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 11:35 AM) I've a feeling Drabek will be a lot better next season.. Floyd to Toronto for Drabek & McGuire, would be a great deal for the Sox. It would mean our 20132 Rotation is set, proving KW is Marty
  5. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 08:17 AM) That defensive rating stat is very team dependent. I think it measures more of the team while the player is on the court than the player itself. In no world was Boozer even close to playing above-average defense last year. He was helped tremendously by the fact that when he was on the court, he was surrounded by great defenders and great team scheme. He was probably the biggest anomaly ever last year when it came to DRtg. It's generally pretty good.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) @Kevin_Goldstein Kevin Goldstein But wait, the #Dodgers sign more scrap with once-a-prospect Aussie fireballer Shane Lindsay! Damn. Liked what I saw from him.
  7. Today was the best Boozer and Noah ever played with each others. They both hit their jumpers, found each other in the post, rebounded, and Boozer is actually playing D this year. His DRtg is 92. He's 7th in the league. http://www.basketball-reference.com/leader...rtg_top_10.html Now, that SHOULD change, but he was 7th in the league last year as well.
  8. Seriously. We have the personnel for a condensed season and to not wear our starters out.
  9. He looks ok. But dear god Thibs, give him and Deng some rest in blowouts.

  11. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 03:03 PM) Poor guy. I really thought he was going to be our future. He should have just kept #27. He'd of been fine.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 08:13 PM) Folks in Missouri can't believe the Cubs would trade away a big name player for nothing. I'll check in two weeks. Man, Mark probably regrets signing there now.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 08:37 AM) Considering how rarely he walks, his average better be a lot higher than .255. He had a walk rate of 9.66% last year. That's not stupidly rare.
  15. So, Mizzou beat Oklahoma by 38. Damn. And Kadeem Green transfers. I put that as my status and one of my friends commented "Leaving 7 scholarships" Now, he was on the team with Shannon Scott (OSU) and a bunch of other D1 kids last year in HS. He wants to try out for the Mizzou team next year (I actually think if he fixes his 3, he can make it). So I said "That leaves one available..." "Hopefully for a 5-star recruit" And it went over his head.
  16. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:39 PM) Logan Morrison @LoMoMarlins Following I really hope Ozzies on-field instructions r easier 2 understand than his tweets. I literally have no idea what this dude is talking about..
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 10:09 PM) Royals fans I talk to are amazed at the Quentin trade. They see it as a real player dealt for 2 lousy prospects. I don't know why you guys don't care to know the perception of the White Sox in Kansas City. The Sox are currently seen as a joke. The Quentin trade is the latest head-scratcher. I had several people ask me if Sox fans were furious. I said, "Not the ones I know. They love the trade. They hate Quentin and love whenever we get guys with no track record. Our fans love the unknown." They are AMAZED we gave Quentin away for nothing. They asked me if I was upset at the trade. I said of course I was. And the Royals fans know good teams...? Greg, I swear to God, next time I'm in Lawrence you and I are surveying everything with a heartbeat.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) If you didn't watch most of it, then you can't fully grasp the fact the Bulls had no business winning this game. That said, good teams win games they shouldn't. They had no business being remotely close to winning this game. That was crazy.
