QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 12:30 PM) 70 in an offseason? Less than 5 months? That is truly impressive. This. Props to the man.

A Lot for White Sox to Overcome
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 12:20 PM) He is also a guy that managed to get all of the way to the Sox in the AL on waivers. What part of "Seriously destroyed his leg" didn't register?

Cool sketch of Comiskey from the 40's
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 12:14 PM) As biased as a person could be, I will say it was better than Wrigley. The underneath was similar in that you came up to the field and it just exploded in front of you. All you saw was green. The place looking huge as well. The bigger difference in the two is the size of the place. Wrigley's concourses and are cramped and while Comiskey was larger and allowed for room to walk. Also Comiskey smelled of beer and food. The concourse of Comiskey allowed you to walk around the entire underneath of the stadium. It just seemed large compared to Wrigely. I visited both often when I was young and Wrigley seemed small with the buildings behind it and tucked in the neighborhood. You saw the lights of Comiskey as you drove in whether on the Ryan or the Stevenson. It was the Baseball Palace of the World. /this-only-makes-me-sadder

Joe Johnson out of All-Star Game and 3pt Shootout Rondo in ASG. No idea for 3pt. I vote Korver or Watson for the shootout.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 11:02 AM) @ESPNChiSox Humber on last season: "My velocity went up as season went on." Had better pre-All Star numbers: 8-5, 3.10 ERA Zach Stewart 1st player to address media. Said spent a lot of time working on changeup, esp release point. Said its always work in progress. What I read from this: Humber is gaining arm strength. Needs to learn to conserve it. Stewart is gonna be a starter in AAA.

Jim Bowden gives Offseason grades
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 21, 2012 -> 06:00 PM) You're telling me that if we're talking "Player ceilings/upside", Carlos Quentin's ceiling isn't an MVP caliber OF? Considering he was an angry slap of a bat away from being an MVP once, that's clearly his upside...he just can't reach it because of injury. Similarly, Jake Peavy's upside is a Cy Young award winner, but he can't reach it any more because of injury. 0_o So if we signed Frank Thomas, we'd have a HOF Caliber bat?

Catch-All Anything Thread
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 20, 2012 -> 09:27 PM) Haha everything you said here pertains to me as well. When I was in Carbondale I had my roomate tie it for me and back here I've had my dad do it, which was fine when I didn't have to wear one often, now I have to learn but as you said I just can't get it right. It's very sad. Don't worry. I can't either...I just leave my ties tied until I need to get them cleaned. My PA showed me once, but I promptly forgot. Then again, I couldn't tie my shoes until I was 9.

Healthy Bulls beat the Heat. Rose and Rip looked damn good together when they were, Boozer and Noah are gelling, and Deng is the glue. Get the bench back into form when Rose returns and things will be good.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 18, 2012 -> 01:36 AM) Look at this young man tell all you old folks what's up. Young people represent. When you try to make GOAT teams for NBA 2k12, you watch lots of videos. And also, at least I'm not being told I live in the past.
