  1. That becomes obsolete if he leaves, or he has to get in ugly Miami colors. THINK OF THE FASHION MARK.
  2. Again, holy f***. I'm hoping he can make it out of this unscathed. Also, MLBTR wishes him a speedy recovery...um...
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 07:31 PM) Wilson Ramos kidnapped in Venezuela Holy f***.

  5. Half of the good news about the O-Line finally playing like not-s*** is that Carimi can have time to get back.
  6. I really want to know where the fire directed towards McQuery is at. Joe Pa deserves a lot of heat for this, but right now it seems he's getting it because of his stature, and the others who did nothing aren't getting close to the same venom. And Greg, the "come on." was towards the Penn State students chanting for Paterno.
  7. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) That sucks, only 44. Anybody who had the trifecta of Andy Rooney, Joe Frazier and Heavy D in a death pool just got paid mad skrilla. This is easily the weirdest three ever.
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 11:36 PM) I meant that anyone is concerned with Paterno's job, and not what happened. This.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 12:54 AM) Well, the Penn State students are a joke. They flocked to Joe Pa's house and chanted "We love you Joe Pa" and all that. Then they hit the streets. Once again, the masses forget what this is about. Sickens me. This. Come on.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 06:54 PM) Now they are saying it could be 20 victims. Wow. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 07:33 PM) knowing how long he worked for the Second Mile foundation and all the access to kids he had, it seems like a small number. Sandusky also lives 1000 feet from a childrens school This is so very terrible.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 06:34 AM) last night when the ESPN crew were making their picks, they were all laughing at Ditka for picking the Bears. Cris Carter says, "The Eagles have Asomugha, watch out Cutler". Whatever, Asomugha was irrelevant for the entire game Again, my roommate thinks they are Super Bowl bound.
  12. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 11:32 PM) More than that. The NFC is very strong this year. Related note: if the season ends today the NFC North and AFC North would both send 3 teams to the playoffs. The North's are dominant. According to him, only the Packers can stop them. Man, he bought into preseason hype.
  13. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 11:23 PM) The Eagles have to win out to get to 11 wins, which will probably be the requirement for an NFC playoff berth this year. My roommate keeps saying they'll win the Super Bowl.
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 11:18 PM) I've never seen this before. He did a hell of a job evading linemen today. Earl Bennett also showed the other Bears wideouts what a good receiver looks like. Roy Williams has hands of freaking steel. He should have had a monster game today with the opportunities he had to catch deep passes. He did some ninja s*** to avoid sacks. That flip to Barber was jaw dropping. And the O-Line looked competent, even without Carimi.
  15. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 10:30 PM) Ken_Rosenthal Ken Rosenthal Sources: #Marlins will meet with Buehrle on Tuesday, Reyes on Wednesday and Cespedes on Thursday. #MLB 54 seconds ago Favorite Retweet Reply No Mark. No.
  16. QUOTE (onedude @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 10:22 AM) How about video game villians? A good half of mine are video game villains.
  17. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 11:13 PM) Really? I thought our rise coincided with having Chase Daniel QBing a team that included three first round picks (Jeremy Maclin, Sean Weatherspoon and Ziggy Hood). Last year's 10-win team had two first round picks as well (Gabbert, Aldon Smith). Mizzou has had talent. It's not smoke and mirrors and a weak division. I have my doubts about Franklin, but that's a first year QB for ya. You gotta cut him some slack in the future. Gabbert had his moments and each of the last two successful QBs lost 5 games in their first year starting so it's not unheard of. It's just his composure in the pocket. He looks like he gets the ball and is like "cool, football...do I need to do something...uh...do I throw it? s***...important...OH GOD A BIG GUY COMING TO TACKLE ME." He doesn't look scared or nervous, he looks like he gives no f***s.
  18. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) We'll be better next year. It's tough to be competitive with a first year QB. You gotta keep the faith. Missouri has 3 10 win seasons in the past 4. They've been a top 15-20 program for a while now so it's not like they're below average in SEC football. Heck, the Big 12 is better than the SEC this year anyway. James Franklin won't lead us anywhere. He looks too calm in the pocket and has a knack for momentum killing INT's. Terrible acceleration for a "dual-threat" quarterback. Maybe it's mental, but he's instilling a Good Rex/Bad Rex-esque worry in me. Also, the secondary is just bad. I do think Mauk will be a good improvement as a QB if he can beat Franklin for the spot, but Missouri needs Dorial Green-Beckham to commit to them and not anywhere else to have a hope.
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 07:39 AM) I'd rather vote for Robin Ventura He'd be a classy president.
  20. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 07:11 PM) Dude seriously? f*** kansas. We're leaving them behind for a mid major league once the Big 12 finishes imploding. Also, do you realize that Waco, Lubbock, College Station and Austin are about as far away as Athens, Baton Rouge and Auburn? South Carolina and Florida are farther, but with Nebraska (and Colorado who wasn't closer either) gone the number of fairly close schools in the conference is about the same. Plus, who wouldn't want to travel to SEC football games? I really looked forward to KU Basketball... It's just annoying. No rivalry now unless we're counting A&M, who is apparently our main rival now. Plus, we're in the Eastern Division, so that means more games farther out by SC and Florida. Also, I just think we'll get walloped for the next few years in football, which since that's when I'm here, not exactly a fan of. I mean yes, better conference, but that's about it. And I don't think we'll be towards the top of it.
