  1. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 31, 2011 -> 12:22 AM) He sure looked good against the Bears, I'm positive if he went out a year earlier and was the first overall or top5 pick he prob be starting in league now or at least had significant starting time. Year before: Lions - Stafford. Tebow doesn't get picked. Rams - Jason Smith. Didn't take Sanchez, no Tebow. Kansas City Chiefs - Tyron Jackson. Had Cassel. No Tebow. Seattle Seahawks - Aaron Curry. Had Hasselback comign back from injuries. No Sanchez. New York Jets - Sanchez. You can argue this one, but NY loved Sanchez, who knows on Tebow. He would have floundered in NY and as a starter, he's been nothing other than overrated.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 30, 2011 -> 05:30 PM) One of the Lions D-men "Tebowed" after sacking Tebow. I love this man now.
  3. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 30, 2011 -> 05:16 PM) If by "looked damn good at times" you mean "that one game", then yes Yes. But that being said, he did look good at other times. Not damn good, but good. I like how he pitches.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 30, 2011 -> 08:47 AM) I'd say the Blue Jays and the Cardinals won it. The Cardinals got a needed starter for a talented, albeit struggling outfielder. The Blue Jays got a high-upside outfielder and a Kenny contract for Jason Frasor. The White Sox got Jason Frasor and a busted SP spect. There are two winners, and one clear, obvious loser. We dumped Teahen, got another draft pick most likely. Ramus was Rios bad in Toronto and is supposedly a clubhouse problem for a E-Jaxpick, a younglefty reliever, a good righty reliever in Frasor, Dotel draft picks. And they get to pay Teahen. Also, the Sox gget Frasor picks and a "busted" SP prospect who almost threw a perfect game and looked damn good at times. He was up and down and the last time this organization gave up on a guy like that, he was a 16 game winner. There are two obvious winners and one clear loser.
  5. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 28, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) Not so much when it came to a duel. God told him he'd get a shot off, not that he'd win.
  6. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Oct 29, 2011 -> 11:30 PM) Jones starting over Havlicek? That's a little odd... Knicks should be a fun one with Frazier, Reed, Ewing, Monroe, King, DeBusschere, ect. I'd do Philly personally. Definitely have AI, Erving, Hal Greer and Billy Cunningham, and depending on how you are defining it, they could legitimately claim Wilt, Moses and Barkley. The computer prefers Hondo playing behind Jones. I had Hondo in the starting five, but it makes sense as he is the perfect sixth man. He and Jones pretty much split time evenly. Knicks are mostly done and are hellishly fun. Philly and San Antonio follow the Knicks/Cavs (making all the teams), here's their rosters... San Antonio Spurs - Not exactly world breakers. Duncan, Robinson, and Gervin carry this team. C - David Robinson, Billy Paultz PF - Tim Duncan, Larry Kenon, Willie Anderson SF - Sean Elliot, Manu Ginobli, Mike Mitchell, Bruce Bowen SG - George Gervin, Alvin Robertson, James Silas PG - Avery Johnson, Tony Parker, Johnny Moore Philadelphia 76ers - Don't get Moses (Rockets) or Wilt (Warriors), but keep Barkley (his Philly numbers/years out rule Phoenix, who still have Nash/Johnson to power the very dynamic Suns) C - Dolph Schayes, Billy Cunningham, Darryl Dawkins PF - Charles Barkley, Lucious Jackson SF - Julius Erving, Bobby Jones, Doug Collins SG - Allen Iverson, Hal Greer, Andre Iguodala, Hersey Hawkins PG - Mo Cheeks, Andrew Toney, Paul Seymour AI, Erving, and Chuck is very, very nasty.
  7. QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 29, 2011 -> 07:09 AM) I want the rest of the AL to lose. I'm a White Sox guy. I'd probably root for the Rays, Royals, and Mariners if they made the series. That's about it.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 29, 2011 -> 05:43 PM) Hit a game tying jumper with D-Rose today in my franchise mode. Rose scored 5 points in about 20 seconds. I miss real basketball... Working on my all time teams, here's what I've got done. Chicago Bulls - Rose and Jordan can just go crazy together, especially with all the D surrounding them. C - Artis Gilmore, Joakim Noah, Tom Boerwinkle PF - Bob Love, Horace Grant, Toni Kukoc SF - Scottie Pippen, Chet Walker, Luol Deng SG - Michael Jordan, Jerry Sloan, Ben Gordon PG - Derrick Rose, Norm Van Lier, Kirk Hinrich Utah Jazz - Ball movement is great between Stockton and Maravich. Malone and Eaton clean the glass. Deron, Hornacek, and Boozer off the bench is crazy. C - Mark Eaton, Thurl Bailey, Mehmet Okur PF - Karl Malone, Carlos Boozer, Paul Milsap SF - Adrian Dantley, Andrei Kirilenko, Byron Russell SG - Pete Maravich, Jeff Hornacek, Darrell Griffith PG - John Stockton, Deron Williams, Rickey Green Los Angeles Lakers - The Lakers went with a lineup of Magic, Kobe, Mikan, Kareem, Shaq on me. This team can get massive or small. C - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, George Mikan, Rudy LaRusso PF - Shaquille O'Neal, Lamar Odom, AC Green SF - Elgin Baylor, James Worthy, Michael Cooper SG - Kobe Bryant, Jerry West, Gail Goodrich PG - Magic Johnson, Byron Scott, Derek Fisher Boston Celtics - Larry Bird makes this team run. Parish-Russell is frightening when the Celtics run it out. C - Bill Russell, Dave Cowens, Robert Parish PF - Kevin McHale, Tom Heinsohn SF - Larry Bird, Paul Pierce, Cedric Maxwell SG - Sam Jones, John Havlicek, Reggie Lewis, Danny Ainge PG - Bob Cousy, JoJo White, Dennis Johnson Gonna work on Knicks and Cavaliers next, as I don't have to make too many players for them.
  9. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 29, 2011 -> 01:24 AM) ZI may be a litle drunk right now, but i like that comparison. And plus, evben if they won the trade, who mcares? The trade was not w/ us. We traded w/ the blue jays. The blua jays then traded w/ the Cardiansl. You might be drunk.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 28, 2011 -> 01:40 PM) That would make for some s***ty basketball games. Starting lineup: PG - Watson SG - Brewer SF - Deng (who will average 48.5 mpg) PF - Taj C - Asik
  11. I got T-Jeff3. Came through in the clutch and didn't slow down after his peak.
  12. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 27, 2011 -> 11:16 PM) I kind of want to see Albert up there with two outs. Ask and thou shall receive.
  13. Joe Buck jinxed the f*** out of the Cards.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 27, 2011 -> 12:54 AM) For as much as you like to make fun of me for my drunkenness have you ever known me to get into "drunken brawl?" I've been in plenty of fights before but they're out of necessity, I don't go looking for problems. Anywho, since I know a bunch of you were worried, I found my sweet TMNT hat from when I was like 4, it's a flex fit and I can still make it fit my head. It's now a must use for my costume this year. Well, my fears are over. Anyway, I'm gonna be Solid Snake.
  16. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 08:30 AM) I agree. He increased his overall power, bb rate, contact, stolen base rate, and reduced his k's (though not that drastically) after his second stint in AAA. He was a pretty touted prospect in Texas who was always a stud with the glove. (also had his k issues, though he did walk alot) Scouts were keen on him if he would ever develop the power. Personally, I think he'll be a 4th OF in the bigs at this point, but it wouldn't hurt holding onto him if the sox go that route. SoxAce, master of logic.
  17. QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 27, 2011 -> 01:28 AM) It's 1:30am central and we've reached hour 14 of the NBA talks.. Please figure it out.. PLEASE I hate this lockout.
  18. It feels like a lifetime ago. It felt like all these Cub fans suddenly switched allegiances.
  19. If it goes 7, this really, really helps the Cards.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 12:21 PM) A source has reportedly told Ken Berger of CBSSports.com that the owners and players are "inching closer to a deal." Meanwhile, a source tells Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio that the two sides "are very determined. They're close." We've seen signs of optimism before only to have them squashed, but we'll be watching the aftermath of Wednesday's meeting very closely in hopes that something positive will come out of it. A source has told me they had a deal done, KG stormed in, ate the paperwork, glared at everyone, and left.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 07:48 AM) 2 more weeks. I hate everything.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 12:44 PM) The White Sox fans want: 1. A manager who makes me laugh. 2. A winning team on the baseball field.
  23. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 23, 2011 -> 11:32 PM) Although still true, I honestly have no recollection of making this post. That's what BHB will do to you.
