  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) Some rumors out there that Sox might had been close to trading Quentin to the Blue Jays. Wouldn't shock me at all if it was for Drabek. I'd buy Kenny Williams a pimp cane.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 11:46 PM) As far as I'm concerned, David Stern saved the NBA. It would've been an atrocity to let that initial pathetic trade go through. Sorry, Laker fans. You got Kobe for Divac because Kobe's b**** ass refused to play for any other team but LA. You got Pau for bloody tampons (though the other Gasol has made that trade look less pathetic). No Chris Paul for you. Don't forget; Wilt demanding a trade (thought not specifically to LA) Kareem demanding on a trade to LA or NY only Getting compensation picks for Goodrich, resulting in Magic, who said he wouldn't have gone to the NBA that year if the Bulls won the flip. Getting Worthy for Don f***ing Ford Then you mentioned Kobe and Pau. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 12:17 AM) David Stern is the hero we deserve, but not the one we need right now. So we'll hate him, becuase he can take it.
  3. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 11:03 PM) f***, Lakers reportedly pull out of the Paul trade. Shipping Odom to Dallas for nothing.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 07:54 PM) I love when people automatically rise up and say.... Frank did it clean!...Paulie did it clean!.... You don't know these people!!!! You have no idea. I have no idea. It's better to just hope they didn't, but say nothing. Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. Oh, and I'd say strip Braun of his MVP, but whatever. I have no doubt those two are clean.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 07:04 PM) And Frank. Yup. They are the only two that I would be absolutely stunned if they were roiders.
  6. In other news, Paulie becomes more of hero to me whenever another person is busted.
  7. Kemp robbed. God damn Ryan Braun, another hero down.
  8. Dwight's not even close to a top 10 ten center all time.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 11:18 PM) The Blazers remind me of those early 90's Hornets teams with Alozno, LJ, Gill and even Mugsy. That team should've been a powerhouse. Every few years, God see's a team and says "I don't like you."
  10. Poor Oden and Roy
  11. Man, Roy needs to be a Sun. That team could revive him. And man, J4L and I agree to a t.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 02:25 AM) Another great media take. Why oh why wasn't Kenny fired? http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/rosen...,5827118.column BECAUSE. NO ONE. WAS. FIRED. KENNY OFFERED TO RESIGN. OZZIE QUIT. WHY WASN'T OZZIE FIRED BACK IN f***ING JULY?
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 10:43 PM) Well, thank you for typing it up so coherently. I guess these are all valid points. So you say 29 owners said no? Meaning even at least one team involved in the trade said no? Majority of 29 owners. Obviously Alexander and Buss didn't.
  14. Ok, the NBA owns the Hornets, who have bled money for the NBA. The 29 owners said no, so therefore, trade can't go through. They have as much right to veto it as Reinsdorf can veto a Bulls trade. Plus, the Hornets would be taking on $50M in contracts for three 30 year olds as opposed to Paul's expiring, thus costing the NBA more money. And Paul won't honor his contract. Sorry, but the owners had every right to veto it and did.
  15. CP3 refuses to report to Hornets camp. Is seeking legal action. And Stern waited until today to block it..until after the union ratified.
  16. QUOTE (scenario @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) One good reason to not believe it. A second reason... nobody throws a season just to make a point. That's beyond ridiculous. Makes for great SunTimes articles to inflame the masses and attract readers... but simply.not.realistic. Except...Ozzie did. It makes sense for him. He got a 4 year deal with a raise from the Marlins. He destroyed any chance of salvaging the club that Kenny had, but didn't have to deal with it. Ozzie threw the season.
  17. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) I haven't read the LOTR books, but I like the movies a lot. I never really thought of Sauron as a great villain. Does he have a lot more characterization and well, actually do something other than watch and order minions around in the books? Before the LOTR books, he murdered the s*** out of everything. And he's basically Satan.
  18. God, this teaming up bulls***.
  19. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 06:12 PM) I hope Buehrle does well, but I hope Ozzie and the Marlins tank. I want to see a collapse of epic proportions. This. I want Buehrle to go 33-0. And the Marlins win 33 games.
  20. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 06:08 PM) So, what are you driving at? MOFO QUIT.
  21. f***ing Lakers.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 02:11 PM) So Greg let me get this right. Whenever Joe Cowley praises Ozzie and bashes KW you think he is 100 percent correct. However, when he says that Ozzie might have been making moves to spite KW last year without teams best interest in mind, he is wrong? Your f***ing god Ozzie Guillen quit on the team. His son started this s***. Ozzie. f***ing. Guillen. Quit. On. The. White. Sox. OZZIE. GUILLEN. QUIT.
  23. QUOTE (Cali @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 03:05 PM) FYI World's Greatest Manager Ozzie Guillen apparently can't name anyone on the Phillies roster... GOD HE'S A f***ING MORON.
  24. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) We weren't in the series, we lost 4-1. Haslem completely stabilized their big problem. Rose missed a shot at the clock one game. We blew a huge lead another. We had the only true blowout of the series, the others we lost in the last minutes. We had Rose, Boozer, and Noah on one leg each. Noah and Boozer hadn't developed chemistry yet. Omer Asik had a broken leg. Our sharpshooter went ice cold. And we were still in it. On the season, we were 4-4 against the Heat. The only game where everyone was truly "healthy" was Game 1 of the ECF. Add a legit SG to this team and we are equipped to the take the Heat down.
  25. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) Phil Rogers' column says it all. This is on Kenny for bringing in stiffs Rios, Dunn and the injured Peavy. I prefer to blame Oney for starting the Kenny-Ozzie s***.
