BOOM SHAKA LAKA

I think he needs to get to 550 and he'd be in. 500 is borderline for me. But, I think Paulie gets to 550 because I love me some damn Paul Konerko.

Soxtalk Meetup - June 4 & 5 - PPD TO A LATER DATE
Quin replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd be up for it if I'm not too busy. If anything, just to weird out J4L. -
Better beat the s*** out of them in Chicago.

Where was the foul a minute ago?

Is this a Bulls home game?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 8, 2011 -> 04:28 PM) Would've been a nice storyline. But I'd love to play the Grizzlies in the finals should we get there. A title is a title. Exactly. I don't know what the hell happened to the Lakers in this series. But I'm thankful. Oh God. Tony Allen in Chicago again. I was at the Memphis game earlier this year and man do crowds hate him.

And there goes my big fear in the Playoffs.

PAUL KONERKO HAVE SPEED

QUOTE (fathom @ May 8, 2011 -> 03:57 PM) Dunn looks like a 14 million dollar a year platoon player. Anyone know where to find a prospect that can DH and rake against lefties?

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 8, 2011 -> 03:02 PM) Iggy doesn't really spread the floor like an Affalo can, but he's at least a guy who can create his own shot. That would be an incredible defensive team. I'm not sure the Bulls have the cap room for his contract though. Deal Watson/Brewer/Pargo/Bogans/Lucas and 2 picks (28th and second rounder) and you get him. His contract won't matter, as long as Bird Rights are retained in the CBA (and the NBA will keep the MLE and Bird Rights, because otherwise it's two future cash-cow organizations, the Heat and Bulls, will be handicapped) then we can retain Rose. Now, we'd have an expensive starting 5, but a damn good one. Deng and Iguodala can shut down the perimeter, letting Rose sneak around for his blocks/steals. Noah of course holds down the paint while Boozer stands there and yells. Sure, we lose the Bench Mob Backcourt, but with the 30th, draft a point guard who can play D. Deng or Iggy would be on the court at all times, same with Rose and Iguodala. Bring Korver off the bench when you need threes, but Rose and Deng can each hit the three and who knows? Maybe Iggy flourishes as a fourth option and nails 3 pointers, like Deng when he went from 2nd to 3rd. Taj and Asik stay, retain Butler, maybe bring back Bogans when he's cut and our team looks nice.

Ok, so Iggy is on the trading block again once the postseason ends. I'd offer up Brewer, Watson, Pargo, Bogans, Lucas, the 28th pick, for Iggy. All those contracts are non-guaranteed or expiring, and gets Iggy's contract off the Sixers hands. Rose (38)/Vet. PG (10) Iguodala (24)/Korver (24) Deng (38)/Iguodala (10) Boozer (30)/Gibson (18) Noah (36)/Asik (12) That starting five D is suffocating and if your new back up point can play D, the bench D should still be good.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2011 -> 05:07 PM) Sure, when you consider contracts, Ramirez was their best player last year, but that wasn't what you originally said. Rios and Ramirez are pretty much the same player. Rios is grossly overpaid right now and I suspect Ramirez will be grossly overpaid in 2014-2015 Alexei was the 3rd best player in the league at the most premium position in baseball.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 7, 2011 -> 02:33 AM) lol what? It was a sad story that happen to fall on an ironic date. Ok, this makes it better since you acknowledged its a sad story. That previous post makes it look like you're entirely mocking it because it fell on a Hispanic holiday, so my apologies.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 7, 2011 -> 02:16 AM) Damn, on Cinco De Mayo and everything! Real f***ing tasteful Joe. But Tex, that is truly an awful story.

Call Dayan up, play him in left. I want to wear my Viciedo shirt damnit.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 5, 2011 -> 12:57 AM) Also, if there's 1 piece missing on this Bulls roster (other than a competent starting SG), it's a 2nd scorer who can drive or create his own shot. Right now, Rose is the creator and the only one. I love the Bench Mob, but there is a reason CJ Watson is a backup. He settles for a lot of outside shots and he ins't necessarily a sniper from out there. A guy like Jamal Crawford, Ben Gordon or Jason Terry would do wonders for the Bulls. And obviously I'm looking forward quite a bit, but those 2 late 1st round picks could be extremely valuable either with picking players or as trade chips. I'd love to be able to get a Nolan Smith, but I don't think he'll last that long. Then again, it could be possible to trade up. I'd try and package CJ, Bogans/Pargo/Lucas, and a pick for Kirk. Bring him back, start him at the 2 and have him be backup point. Under Thibs, he'd be good defensively as always, takes pressure off Rose for ball handling, and can still shoot the 3 (.371 next to Rose starting last year, .399 this year next to Wall and Joe Johnson). Rotation becomes this: Rose(38)/Hinrich(10) Hinrich(15)/Brewer(20)/Korver(13) Deng(38)/Korver(10) Boozer(30)/Gibson(18) Noah(36)/Asik(12) Use the 30th/28th pick on a sharpshooter and call it a day.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:27 AM) I'm honestly rooting for another no-hitter. Why not? If we're destined not to make the playoffs (which is likely), why not just embrace the pile of filth rotting on the field? I want every loss to be so pitiful, so embarrassing, that there's no choice but to force change upon the organization. It doesn't have to be immediate change, either. I'd rather watch this team gradually dismantle in front of our eyes. "Sir, I am here to deliver."

You think the Sox are having a bad day? Imagine this: You're a Siamese Twin's fan. Your brother is gay, you're not. He has a date tonight. You only have one ass. Going for the Sox in this corner, 6'1, 215 pounds John "The Blackout" Danks! For the Twinkies,, 6'4, 240 Nick "Oh s***. I'm about to get bounced from this rotation" Blackburn!
