  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 07:50 PM) That is horrible! At first I didn't want him to get it, but now I feel bad for him. I'm a bit miffed because it should have been an actual hit or something. Ump's running, because Miguel Cabrera will kill him.
  2. That was a horrible umping call.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 07:46 PM) Buehrle's feels like it was 10 years ago. Come on Donald.
  4. Even though he was farm from great in his short time with us, it was a treat for me finally being able to see Griff play a game when he was here.
  5. This is one team I will not hope for the game to be a perfect.
  6. That may be the oddest text question I've ever seen.
  7. I don't get Versus ****. Oh well, good job Omar. Edit: Man, Rios is awesome.
  8. I still want Austin Wilson or Anthony Ranaudo. Sick of "safe" picks.
  9. I still say he doomed the 2009 season. Buehrle's start after perfecto, making a run at another, Dye hit's a homerun and Stone yells "And Dye puts the Cubs ahead!" Next inning, shot at 2 perfects over, Sox season completely falls apart.
  10. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 03:54 PM) Man, i'm waiting for the first couple of hit pieces on Teahen to come out. If he doesn't turn it around quick, we're going to hear about how Ozzie thinks his attitude doesn't fit in with the makeup of the clubhouse, and he's going to get, "Swishered" out of here. I don't think the book is closed on Mark Teahen. He looked like he was turning a corner before he went down with his injury. I know his defense was terrible, but he's still a good guy, works some of the best at-bats out of anyone on the team, and is still a hell of a lot better then Chris Getz and Josh Fields. I greatly enjoy him as a person, but man his defense is killing me when Morel is apparently studly on defense.
  11. If it meant we'd try and dump Teahen, I'd be all for it.
  12. NBA Free Agent Slot Machine Most common scenarios for each free agent that I get: LeBron & Bosh to Bulls, Wade & Boozer to Miami, Amare & Johnson to Knicks, Dirk to the Suns, Lee to Nets.

    Well, crap.
  14. That was not slam-a-matic.

I really get sick of seeing Josh Hamilton.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 02:30 AM) I have it on "very good" authority that Morel is making the move to AAA tomorrow. Retherford likely to be demoted. Why not just have Morel fill in Lilli's spot? I'm sad that CJ has been struggling, as he is probably my favorite farm hand for the sheer fact that he's a huge overachiever because of his work ethic. Edit: Just dawned on me that means Gordon is probably being sent down, to play 2nd, and Lilli's spot is being taken by Morel after all.
  17. It just dawned on me that Vizquel will most likely be the 3B starter, not Nix or Frodo. I miss Uribe.
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 31, 2010 -> 11:13 PM) Lillibridge is the obviously encumbent right now, but I really wish this was Morel who was getting his cup of coffee in the majors right now. I want to see Morel too, but I'd rather not call him up and then send him back down once Teahen is back.
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 31, 2010 -> 06:52 PM) We tend to hit fastball dominant pitchers. Don't write us off so soon. We also suck against first time pitchers. But it would be pretty darn great if we lit him up.

    Where's the "American Revolution" option?
  21. I was gonna post this awhile ago. I really want to go now, so I can hit them.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 31, 2010 -> 02:53 PM) I know the NL sucks. Everybody says it. But why oh why are NL and AL teams tied after that first weekend of interleague play this year. If the NL is as bad as everybody says, wouldn't the AL just simply dominate head to head competition? I mean win almost every game? The way people talk is it's like the NL is a minor league team versus the Rays every night. Give me as many examples of NL-turned-AL pitchers as AL-turned-NL, and that have had a such great turnarounds like Garland, Silva, etc. Hell, even Doc is doing a lot better against the NL, and he was already pretty damn good.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 31, 2010 -> 12:46 AM) I think Garland is 7-2 with a 2.10 ERA and 1.33 whip Ha. Yeah I know, he pitches in the NL. So what. He's still pitching well. Congrats Jon. Garland is pitching out of his mind. However, him, Ely, and Contreras are showing how weak the NL is. None of them would be this good in the AL. They'd still be good, just not as much.
  24. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 31, 2010 -> 12:25 AM) You guys are crazy. Kobe could have yours, mine or anybody's elses GF/wife if he wanted. He didn't rape that tramp. She voluntarily went to his hotel room by herself late at night for what? Milk and cookies? I heard he likes to dunk his cookie in her mil--- Nevermind, one string of innuendo is enough for one NBA thread.
