  1. Having experienced this first hand in my own work environment (going from two companies with nationwide focus to one focused solely on the NYC/NJ area), when I got brought in the lack of infrastructure in my department was astounding. Everyone thought I was a genius for making what I thought were simple changes, when I explained it was holdover skills/workflow process from my old jobs. If Pollock were around for more than one year - or if he were an All-Star - maybe he'd have the pull to start arguing for something like "hey, I need ____," but he probably just saw the writing on the wall and bounced. Giolito clearly knew he needed outside help with Katz.
  2. Keeping the powder dry for being the fifth team to sign Correa.
  3. No need to alter the thread title at least.
  4. These are the answers I wanted.
  5. However, who says no: Devers / Sale for Montgomery / Colas / Popeye
  6. Trade Hendriks Trade for Sale Make Sale closer The circle is complete
  7. The more money I see free agent relievers sign for, the more I can see a team wildly overpaying. In that scenario, I'm totally fine with it.
  8. Honestly, I want every team to sign Correa to a contract this off-season at this point.
  9. What better way for Reinsdorf to hurt Steve Cohen than to swoop in and nab Correa!
  10. Jerry only has to pay one salary. Genius.
  11. Does Moncada play on Vaughn's shoulders in this scenario?
  12. Personally, I think a Hendriks for Lindor deal makes the most sense.
  13. Absolute whiplash for Mets Twitter that was building Liam/Kelly/Eloy packages (and speculating Vaughn) for McCann/Escobar/Vientos
  14. His protege or whatever getting ruined by GameStop must have pissed him off.
  15. An owner with "f*** you money" to be more specific.
  16. Yeah, the hope is clearly Yoan recovers with a new coach, Grandal's rehab goes well, or Colas mashes like he did in the minors. Right now you've got 4 lefty bats (albeit 2 are switch hitters) in the everyday lineup, 5 if Sheets is hitting for a righty. Alternatively, Montgomery just skyrockets to the majors. That'd be cool.
  17. I would join @bmags in the consumption of hats.
  18. Bro if by some miracle you get Baty you keep the young, talented left hander without back issues
  19. The real winner in this is Paul Giamatti, who's gonna get the weirdest sequel to a TV series ever.
  20. Giants fans are going through actual off-season hell right now after losing Correa, Arson Judge, and Rodon to the NY area.
  21. If the Sox give up Liam and take back McCann, I'm banking on cocaine flowing freely in Queens and asking for Baty like I mentioned before. It's a big ask, but also, f*** that noise.
  22. Unless the Mets are batshit insane and prepared to buy real high on Liam and give up Baty, the only prospect that makes sense here is Parada.
