The Acceptance Phase of James Shields and Tatis Jr.
Discuss the Shields and Tatis trade. If this thread is simply bumped every time he has a good day, we have multiple Tatis threads in Diamond Club.

MLB Discussing an INTL Draft (Possibly by 2020) per Ben Badler
Division is terrible. How do your sort it in division once you've settled on what division goes first? Either do a lottery or do that terrible idea I had awhile ago where there's a minor league playoff to dictate order. Your minor league team is made of 5 AAA, 5 AA, 5 A+, 5 A-, 5 R players. No MLB experience. Since they're ditching September call-ups it's fine.

Eloy going on IL
I blame everyone that wanted Robert up now.

The rumors were (partially) true: Collins to AAA
For real.

To Sell or Not to Sell?
Cause as we've learned the hard way, prospects get injured.

To Sell or Not to Sell?
Walker who is a left-handed centerfielder having a breakout season; Rutherford is a left-handed rightfielder finally on the bounceback and is young for AA; and Collins is a young, left-handed catcher who just made the bigs. And we just want a "decent" starting pitcher? This is how we end up with Tatis for Shields.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
That ain't slightly offensive to victims of domestic abuse.

AJ Reed...More Garbage.....
Yup. Post that there. Not every complaint warrants a thread.

Luis Robert kills it in his first game in AAA
Quick aside, people always seem to forget the NBA owned the Hornets at that point. They mixed the trade cause it sucked for the Hornets.

2019-2020 Official NBA Thread
Two options: Paul gets traded immediately, which would likely be to Miami. Probably the most ideal scenario for OKC as they get shorter contracts and individual players who can be dealt. I doubt they'd get picks or a young player, unless they did a Justise Winslow - Andre Roberson swap, but then the deal would have to wait until 12/15 (because they added Roberson - this is according to Woj's tweet). If they wait until 12/15, all of the recently signed Lakers are fair game but...it doesn't make much sense for LA to trade for Paul. They'd have 0 depth with who they'd have to give up for Paul. It only works if he's willing to leave his massive deal on the table and take a buyout.

Rockies sign Yonder Alonso
I'm 99.99% certain that since he's on a ML deal, Palka is set to make $567,000 this year, even being in the minors. And he gets the MLB pension. This is less of a "Daniel Palka isn't really a middle class dude" post and more of a the MLBPA is the most powerful union in the country post. It's amazing what they can pull off for people like Daniel freaking Palka.

What does a McCann extension look like?
$16M/2YR with a club or mutual option? If he keeps this up. He was DFA'd last year. Now he's an all-star. End result is likely somewhere in between.

Sox claim 1b A.J. Reed off waivers AND send him to majors
@Lillian I owe you an apology. Really confused by how they'll balance Reed and Collins, unless they're sending Collins back down.

Sox claim 1b A.J. Reed off waivers AND send him to majors
Eh, I came off as being a dick, so it's on me. He only has to be on the 40 man roster. If he falls off of that, he never had a future here.

Sox claim 1b A.J. Reed off waivers AND send him to majors
Sorry, I thought it was clear that I was joking with you due to history. I should have made it clear and that's my bad. Reed's claim is pretty much depth at this point. He's Casey Gillaspie 2.0. Sacrificing Collins development (once Castillo is back, it's pretty clear Collins is going to rotate at 1B/DH/C a lot) isn't worth a guy who hasn't hit at the MLB level unless he obliterates the ball at Charlotte.

Cause Collins is gonna probably get Alonso's playing time. I know Reed bats left handed, but it's ok Lillian, so does Collins.
