  1. Did you forget about Padres James Shields?
  2. Basabe, Gonzalez, Walker, and Booker all play CF. Robert is our best CF option. He is not our only one.
  3. I'd describe Borchard and Fields as many things, but black is not one of them. He liked super toolsy athletes. I still think Mitchell would have been a good pick if not for the spring training injury.
  4. Assets are assets. Once they don't have options, sure, cut them. But if you need bodies in Charlotte and they have options, cutting them is idiotic.
  5. That's the Hostetler, if we're saying he has a prototype. Kenny's prototype was always athletes.
  6. I imagine he gains confidence in the bullpen at AA while they continue to stretch him out, then rotation after the draft?
  7. I feel like this game should have been the final straw for Ricky. Like, c'mon.
  8. If the Sox are anywhere near the wild card hunt at the trade deadline, I vote @Jack Parkman changes his name to Hiroshi Tanaka
  9. I'll be damned. Ricky's boys don't quit.
  10. Legitimately couldn't tell if that was caught or not. James McCann being this on fire confounds me, but I love it.
  11. What the hell did Herm do that kept people healthy?
  12. This seems like a good time to say "I hate the competitive balance round."
  13. With Zangari there - maybe it's a matter of getting everyone at bats? Before hand it would have been Bush (3B), Sosa (SS), Nunez (2B), with Curbelo rotating at the three spots and whoever wasn't on the field DHing. Now Zangari is there, so he, Hickman, and Troutwine are kind of taking the DH slot.
  14. This is just an uneducated opinion. He was the top defensive third baseman in the country and won a collegiate Gold Glove. Now, we don't know how he is post-injury, but body size isn't indicative of his fielding ability.
  15. I know he was born in South Africa (to English parents), but he moved to England when he was three. For all intents and purposes, dude was British.
  16. Pretty much because a lot of high fantasy is inspired by Tolkien's work. He was British, his settings invoked Britain.
  17. So Birmingham tweeted out that La Pantera (the Panther) was coming to them. That's infinitely better than LuBob. Can we please get rid of the LuBob nickname?
  18. Then lets not say that, because that's a very tired trope. There are American athletes who lie about their age - Shabazz Muhammad, Tom Shaw. International athletes who lie about their age tend to be little known prospects try to fib a bit to try and get a better life. Not the premier hitter for the Cuban national team ready for a massive payday.
  19. If he's hitting the ball out at Regions Field, the entire division will need to buy dogs.
