  1. Somewhere @southsider2k5 is grinning due to the Burr-Hamilton jokes
  2. If the Royals take Witt, I'd rather we take Lodolo than Vaughn at this point.
  3. ...just baby blue with white logo would have looked good
  4. His junior year, yeah. His sophomore year, he was viewed as a 1-1 candidate.
  5. Ball would be a good fit. Not a super high usage rate, good passing, defensive upside. Sadly, I imagine the Lakers would want someone like Wendell. Edit: Just double checked Ball's shooting numbers. I don't think you could honestly offer anything other than Dunn and the Grizzlies' 2nd rounder.
  6. I will never stop sharing this.
  7. My point was P.T. Barnum drew crowds.
  8. Considering the low attendance, this slightly hyperbolic.
  9. I was stumped for a second. It was like...Cease was the only trade acquisition amongst those. That would go so far in restoring this rebuild.
  10. That was one of the strangest highlights I've ever seen. But also, yeah. If he wanted to climb on top of the fence and stand up there Hiroshi Tanaka style, fine by me. He has to judge the exact spot to be or he looks like a dumbass.
  11. GreenSox saying it's a fair price is my favorite comment in retrospect.
  12. Yeah, the White Sox win the deal if Moncada turns into an MVP and Kopech turns into a Cy Young caliber pitcher. Maybe if they're both All-Stars and Basabe is a regular. Or if they contribute to a championship as three main factors. Otherwise, the Red Sox got a ring out of trading for Sale. He 100% contributed.
  13. Going back to the original thread, @soxforlife05 was the wisest of us all. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?/topic/99431-white-sox-acquire-james-shields/&page=17
  14. Also, translated from the article: "Elijah is more like his father than his brother as a player."
  15. Fortunately there are no former All-Star starters with the initials JS to trade a young SS for. Laz Rivera and Lenyn Sosa are safe.
  16. One time I was hit by a foul ball off of Sandy Alomar's bat, so I had to have been around 9 or 10. Being that young and in shock from a foul ball hitting me (we were sitting down the first base line, so it came in fast), the ball dropped to the floor. Some fat lady next to me took the ball and told my dad she had to take it because she'd be letting her grandkids at home down if she didn't. Her husband eventually bought me a hat because he felt bad, which I got signed by Miguel Olivo when we went to Grandstand after the game. That's gonna make roster moves difficult.
