  1. The prophecy fulfilled! Boo Casey Mize.
  2. If by some small chance he leaves, 1000 times worth it. He's been unreal.
  3. I really like Torres based off the 10-or-so sentences I've read and 6 seconds of footage I've seen, so I like this.
  4. Jake Burger, God of Thunder.
  5. Bodies do weird shit. When I tore my ACL and meniscus, I played sports for 6 months before learning they were torn (I thought they were hyper extended). I only got an MRI because after barely twisting my right ankle (where the pain subsided after a day), my left knee swelled up.
  6. He doesn't. He'd be gambling on increasing his draft stock, which was that of a 2nd-3rd rounder, to a high 1st rounder over the course of three years while avoiding injury.
  7. As @ChiliIrishHammock24 said, 85 grade speed!
  8. My guess is this tidbit from the article is crucially important. Torres, Acosta, Gladney, Glass, Trenkle and Krogman are all going to cost extra money, whereas if the Sox took Allan, they'd have maybe been able to sneak in one of those guys. So far they've got Gladney and Glass. But right now they have a chance to add 8 high schoolers to the system, which I think would have seemed unfathomable a year ago.

Seeing the Barons' bats coming alive is really encouraging. Overcoming those struggles will be huge, and I'd rather get it out of the way in AA than AAA or MLB.

So Madrigal just needed to go to AA to become his true self, right?
  11. But you hate acquiring prospects for veterans
  12. Yup. I still wish they had taken him with the Walker pick, but I don't know how difficult he would have been to sign

Imagine your team having to tweet that you're fine because you had to take a dump.
  14. Competitive Balance Round picks are given out as rewards for performances in the minor league playoffs. It's a stupid idea, as teams will sit prospects so they can play AAAA guys and washed up MLB guys over a struggling, but promising prospect to get the #35 pick. But the current system is also dumb.

Luis Robert has to take a shit Twitter: Definitely a broken back or something

Didn't he supposedly die or something two weeks ago when he left a game?
  17. Quin replied to flavum's topic in FutureSox Board
Can we send Robert down just for funsies for a week before his major league debut

"Andrew Vaughn has raw power? I'll show them why @Lillian will love me!"
  19. Oh no, they'd be like a few grad students, seniors, people who took a gap year, etc. It's not that uncommon.
  20. $125k in the bank + scholarship from the Sox >>> small chance of becoming a top pick down the line
  21. With the 38th Round pick, the Sox are set for any future legal battles.
  22. I'd be a fan of another team. The Ricketts have have stood by Addison Russell, Aroldis Chapman, are headed by Old Man Racist Ricketts, they've partnered with Sinclair, and more underhanded shit. Meanwhile, the absolute worst I can think of from the Sox is the fact that they traded for Brett Myers, which still disgusts me to my core. At some point you gotta call it quits, and the Cubs would be well past that point.
  23. @Lillian WE GOT A LEFTY
  24. We got a HS left handed center fielder! Caeden Trenkle
  25. Mets are aware that they have a budget, right?
