  1. Anyone else hoping Rick had put in the last call to teams?
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 12, 2017 -> 08:24 AM) While I don't understand the purpose of hunting nearly endangered animals, I'm not sure how this is relevant to the topic at hand. Stay focused, people. Russia is the distraction. #SaveTheACA The elephant represents Republicans in the photo.
  3. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 12, 2017 -> 09:13 AM) Been waiting for this deal for awhile now. I'm gona miss Q. Long live the Serpent! I fully trust Hahn on this one. He's set us up nicely. The Flying Serpent shall soon have his fill on beer.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 12, 2017 -> 03:31 AM) Frankly party shouldn't matter to anyone when the president has directly lied over 100 times in 6 months to the citizens of the United States. That should be bi-Partisan. But emails*! *=Hillary's, not Trump Jr.
  5. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jul 12, 2017 -> 01:56 AM) I don't see the Cardinals giving up that much. Swap Perez for Harrison Bader. Think that's too steep for the Yankees too. I like the rest though. Those were the two I was iffy about, but wanted to dream big.
  6. In light of the Brewers coming to the lead in the Q-sweepstakes. Quintana, Swarzak to Brewers for Brinson, Hader, Phillips and Kodi Medeiros. Addresses the two weakest areas in the system - OF and LHP Robertson, Holland to Nationals for Kieboom, Jesus Luzardo and Daniel Johnson. I'd love to get Soto here, but I think Rick ends up settling. Kahnle, Melky to the Yankees for Andujar, Dillon Tate. Avi, Frazier to the Cards for Perez, Woodford Pelfrey, Gonzalez for PTBNL or cash. Listen for offers on Leury, but he likely stays. Could throw him into a Nats deal and upgrade Kieboom to Soto. Net Out: Quintana, Swarzak, Robertson, Holland, Kahnle, Melky, Avi, Frazier Net In: Brinson, Hader, Phillips, Medeiros, Kieboom, Luzardo, Johnson, Andujar, Tate, Perez, Woodford.

If Adams returns to hype levels of a few years ago....very nice.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 08:31 PM) K0na fell off the planet after the last trade he broke(Peavy?) I think it brought some unwanted fame and probably put a little heat on his source Much more likely to be bucket, who is probably Rick Hahn.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 08:23 PM) Brinson, Hader, Phillips I can get behind that.
  10. What did the anonymous GMs say it would coat Milwaukee for Q or Gray?
  11. Also Mitch.
  12. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 02:06 PM) He tried to tsk tsk the Democrats criticizing Trump bragging about "grabbing them by the p****" because it was hypocritical because Democrats want government out of the bedroom. Every. Single. Scenario. breaks down to "actually the Democrats are bad" The Democrats are mainly guilty of not lowering themselves to the GOP''s level of villainous behavior.
  13. Any deflection, hand waving, both sides argumenarguments are sad at best and delusional at worst. The only time Democrats did something of this magnitude was when their party was based in the South.

QUOTE (beautox @ Jul 10, 2017 -> 10:50 PM) I'd love to see a return of Torres, Sheffield & Mateo or Florial. That would also alleviate some of the yankees upcoming 40 man crunch issues. I'd be beyond ecstatic with that return

Man, it's strange that the Sox could be the team that decides the World Series, like the Yankees last year.

So, who are the suitors for Q? Astros Yankees Brewers Dodgers Braves Cubs Rockies That's a nice large group of bidders.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2017 -> 11:21 AM) Yep he has all the makings of a top 5 prospect in a year or two. Some scouts suggested to the Baseball Prospectus expert that he's a top ten guy right now That is phenomenal news for Micker! I still have a feeling that Tatis wouldn't even be mentioned around here if not for that trade. He could be raking in the minors for the Sox and people here wouid be going "yeah, he looks interesting but his BABIP is too high and he strikes out too much."
  18. My ideal Q scenario is trading him to the Nationals, hopefully they win a ring, then comes back here to be the veteran rock for Rodon, Kopech and whatever other two prospects perform the best.

QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 03:39 PM) Quintana and Robertson for Robles, Soto, Kieboom, and Fedde. Who says no? Add Swarzak and it would be incredibly hard for them to say no. Robles and Soto is like a slightly less Moncada and Kopech. Kieboom and Fedde wouldn't fill out just a Q package but Robertson and Swarzak would necessitate it. You give them the best shot at making the World Series. Man if Eaton didn't get hurt that would make them terrifying.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 02:00 PM) It's their 2nd, 3rd and 6th best prospects for a SP who's ERA is 4 and WHIP is 1.3. It's the #77 prospect in baseball headlining a package for a Top 12 pitcher over the last five years that is left-handed, durable and signed for dirt cheap for three years past this season.
  21. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 06:16 PM) GUYS HE'S OK. His instagram story an hour ago shows him trying on some tight ripped jeans. He needs to get out that GAP equivalent before the DR bandits get him.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 04:40 PM) For every guy that has fallen back, they have had a guy step up. Micker, Guerrero and Stephens are others who have taken big leaps forward. The Sox have the #1 prospect in baseball, plus 5 of the top 100, and maybe another 5 in the next 100 as well. Moncada Kopech Robert are all definitely in the Top 100 I could see Giolito, Lopez and Collins still being firmly in the Top 100. Fulmer probably falling out. Hansen should be in. Dunning could be knocking on the door.

QUOTE (coco1997 @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 04:23 PM) Looks like Braun is hurt again. Maybe they'd take Melky in a package with Q? Q, Melky, Kahnle for everything. Get creative Rick!
  24. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 03:14 PM) In no particular order.... Mil NYY Colo San Diego Atlanta Houston Boston 2 or 3 others are toss ups. Our top 4 teams are a collective 40 or so under .500. I know, I know this means nothing, but if they were 40 or so over .500 everyone here would be raving, including me. Our first rounders have hurt us, not counting Burger, of course. QUOTE (beautox @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 03:22 PM) Milwaukees prospect have stalled as much this season as ours and they don't have near the high end. I agree with NYY, Colorado has graduated a ton of talent and Tapia is going to be off lists shortly and Pint well possesing elite stuff hasn't lived up the billing of the #3 pick. I could see how you might consider SD above our system in terms of low minor talent but thats questionable. Houston's system has taken a hit with graduations, PEDs and under performance and in my eyes they were behind us to begin with. Boston? their systems high end is decimated outside of Devers, Groome is back but already had a lat strain this year, and their depth is a lot of 26 year old former top prospects with a ton of question marks. NYY and Atlanta are both pretty clear cut. In no world is Boston a better farm than ours. Rockies have Rodgers, Pint and McMahon. San Diego I need to see over time. Houston has taken hits. The Sox have had some guys take a step back, but have also had players like Hansen and Dunning surge forward.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 03:50 PM) Brewers could really use Kahnle Qahnle for their entire Top 5.
