  1. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Nov 4, 2014 -> 08:23 AM) Oh. Well, that kind of changes everything. Thanks for bringing that up. Now that we know he'll still be producing at 39, I'm actually kind of on board with it. I wonder if Hahn is privy to this information.
  2. QUOTE (dpd9189 @ Nov 3, 2014 -> 12:43 PM) Rosenthal loves those website hits, eh? There's a better chance of Jesus joining your for dinner tonight then that happening. This is nothing but sour grapes from the Rays and Maddon had an opt out clause and they were caught off guard that he used it. I don't think it has anything to do with the Cubs, they'd have been pissed regardless of where he went (Cubs, White Sox, Mets, Dodgers, etc). They lost a top GM and top manager in a matter of 2-3 weeks, they don't have the up and coming talent they once did and there has been no progress of a new stadium deal to keep the team in Tampa. Dark days ahead for the Rays. Won't happen but man it'd be hysterical if the Rays somehow got Bryant.
  3. I can provide more than Grady Sizemore
  4. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Nov 1, 2014 -> 11:55 PM) Depends on what you mean by "superstar". Fact of the matter is their aren't many 5+ war players ever on the trading block. I'd trade Montas AND Danish for a 3 war, cost controlled OF right now however. At best Montas is a elite reliever (don't think he sticks as a starter) and Danish is a 3rd starter. Well, at best Montas is a #2 and Danish is a #2
  5. None of Danish, Montas or Anderson are traded for anything short of a superstar.
  6. Niko having a good game. I wish Thibs would run a line with Taj defending the 3, the 4 on offense and Mirotic defend the 4, play the 3 on offense. Obviously in limited spurts, but need to get Niko some minutes.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 31, 2014 -> 02:52 PM) Some of you guys are getting crazy about the Cavs. You guys are going to look silly at the end of the year. I still think the ECF ends as a seven game slugfest between the Cavs unstoppable force and the Bulls immovable object. I think it'll come down to who has home court.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 11:34 PM) Oh and the Cavs are going to ass rape the Bulls next game. Considering the Knicks tore apart their defense, I dunno about that. Cavs starters logged huge, Thibs-esque minutes and couldn't win against a team the Bulls coasted against. If Jimmy is healthy, I say Bulls win comfortably.
  9. I love Minnie. He's a really nice guy, at least when I met him. Hoping he gets in.
  10. Quintana >>> Ventura or Duffy
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 08:23 AM) Oh yea, now that i completely agree with. I dont want to call the second string "Bench Mob 2", i hope somebody(not with initials SK) comes up with a good nickname for them. Kirk & Friends
  12. I like Russ. The OKC front office and coaching staff are garbage, especially the past few years.
  13. I would trade Viciedo, Beck, and Semien or Sanchez for him. Hell no on Anderson.
  14. My friend just said this was one of the most intense series of the past decade and that the Giants were the underdog. No. This was one of the worst World Series of the past decade and the Giants were certainly not the decade.
  15. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 03:50 PM) Rendon got hurt, though. A pitcher slipping because of injury is scarier than a position player doing the same, But then someone like Trea Turner who was a projected Top 5 pick slipped without injury. Like if Mautella has a "drop off" like Rodon had plus + a couple prospects appear out of nowhere (ex. Aiken), I'd be so crazily ecstatic. It was thought impossible Rodon would end up at 3 and he was one of the most hyped prospects of all time.
  16. Part of me is really hoping Mautella slips, like Rodon did, but even farther. Wasn't Anthony Rendon projected as a first overall pick in 2011 then fell? Yeah, I want that.
