  1. They wouldn't have thrown in a line about Hahn declining to comment if he was a source. If that line wasn't there, sure. But you don't go out of your way to throw that in.
  2. Anyone that talks s%*# I'm like "Sir, I hate and mock them more than you ever could."
  3. My grandmother-in-law talked so much s%*# when the Orioles played the Sox and I was like "do you think I expect the Sox to win?"
  4. He's turned such a blind eye and so hands off that he ignored calls from people to do a real GM search to promote Getz. The article basically goes "JR runs the team like a family business and is so hands on that he gifted the GM job to Getz.."
  5. But they are? Edit: Them + Blue Jays
  6. During both offseasons, Getz has proudly declared they won't spend money. He's the ultimate company man for JR.
  7. In retrospect, the fact that the team showed TA and Giolito the City Connects before they showed JR speaks volumes.
  8. Kenny checked out during the rebuild. Hahn tries to introduce technology and analytics, but the organization old guard is afraid of electricity. Kenny pops in randomly to be like "take this draft pick" or veto trades. Team turns the corner in 2020 and Kenny announces a more active role "like the (Michael Jordan) unretirement. It caught people off guard." KW Jr. and Haber fought a lot and Jr. basically offered dissenting views Hinch never made it to a Chicago interview because JR just handed the keys to TLR, despite people close to Hinch telling him to take the Sox job
  9. The section about Kenny deciding to get more involved once the team got good again + JR coming back is just...oy.
  10. Getz is the guy who lists 100 different skills in a resume, but you know he started listing things like "baseball IQ," "student of the game," and "don't rely on sabermetrics like other baseball executives."
  11. A reminder of why Getz was promoted.
  12. They broke the social team.
  13. Watching Q pitch meaningful ball at Citi Field beats watching a team assembled by Chris Getz, that's for sure.
  14. Can't have them setting a bad example for Miguel Vargas
  15. Well a big problem is that lots of players come to the Sox and suddenly their skills die like they were embraced by Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
  16. I don't want Corey Julks anywhere near Future Sox's writing staff. That team is good at what they do and diluting them would be nonsense.
  17. I was told Corey Julks was the future.
  18. Cause industry consensus was Adley #1, Witt #2. #3 was where it got murky because Vaughn had an extremely well liked bat until the White Sox got their grips on him, but he's a first baseman.
  19. To be fair, he was hired from the consulting firm and the Cards wanted him to come in and help implement data and analysis. So basically, I agree with you. Hiring an outsider could be smart, but the Sox are dumb.
  20. I hope you know that if the 2018 White Sox lost 5 more games they'd have Bobby Witt Jr.
  21. It's like watching Maldonado again but without any of his "pluses"
