  1. Hawk just said it on the broadcast. For Wilson. Hell yes! Now AJ on the other hand...
  2. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 03:51 PM) Thanos is awesome. The more he's around, the better in my opinion. There's rumors around about The Avengers possibly being re-released in theatres because director Joss Wheldon originally had roughly a 3 hour movie before they cut it down to 2 hours and 20 minutes. Supposively a lot of the cut film dealt with Captain America. It'd be cool to see it be released again with the extra footage. This both pleases and angers me.
  3. I feel like Hinrich will look actually decent under Thibs. Also, if they pay Korver and match Asik... PG - Hinrich/Teague SG - Hamilton/Korver SF - Deng/Butler PF - Boozer/Gibson C - Noah/Asik ...they're going for it when Rose returns. They are really banking on Rose have an amazing recovery.
  4. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06/29/how...laxy-movie-work Look's like Guardians of the Galaxy will be announced at San Diego Comic Con next week. It's the unannounced Marvel movie. This shocks me. I thought it'd be Black Panther, Ant-Man, S.H.I.E.L.D, or Dr. Strange (in that order) before Guardians of the Galaxy. But apparently the script is fantastic. Thing is, they've hinted at the first 3 heavily...along with a Winter Soldier and War Machine film. My guess... Phase 2: Iron Man 3 Thor 2 Captain America 2 Guardians of the Galaxy Avengers 2 Phase 3: Thor 3 Captain America 3 Black Panther Ant-Man (Bringing back Coulson as Vision, introducing Wasp as well)/S.H.I.E.L.D (Nick Fury, Black Widow, Hawkeye) Hulk 2 Avengers 3 Phase 4 (If Spidey can be crossed over in a deal) Civil War Also, it just dawned on me how massive this movie franchise will end up being.
  5. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 08:06 AM) Does anyone have a realistic expectation of when Danks will be back in the rotation? Sale Peavy Quintana Danks Floyd That looks like a nice rotation to me. I'd flip Danks and Floyd. I feel like of all the pitchers, Quintana and Danks would be most similar for teams to adapt to. Also, I see Humber getting spot starts every once in a while to rest Sale, Peavy, and Quintana's arms.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 10:46 PM) nOOBs It would have been weird for me to post here at 13...just sayin'.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 12:59 AM) Pointless post. We just need Danks back. Mark took his big money and can do his thang in South Beach. I just miss Mark. Realistically, Danks will be more than enough.
  8. http://www.molewoodmedia.co.uk/live/ If anyone is up and feels like watching a live feed of the International Quidditch Association Summer Games/Olympic Expo in Oxford. Here's a choppy stream! The teams are USA, Canada, UK, France, and Australia. Edit: Dear lord this feed is terrible.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 08:54 PM) In case anyone didn't see, Giancarlo Stanton will have his knee scoped, will be out 4-6 weeks. That's particularly bad for the Marlins. Stanton is the only guy on that team with an OPS over .800 on the year. Ozzie will inspire them with domino playing. Don't worry.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 08:58 PM) Yep. Wat.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 06:26 PM) Maybe. That's possible. I don't agree that Ozzie was phoning it in, though. I don't see any evidence of that. I haven't read any articles accusing him of that. I remember watching the games we won last year and they'd show those dugout shots of Ozzie pumping his fist and getting all excited when we got a big hit, etc. I am puzzled why you would say he was phoning it in. What does that mean anyway? Ozzie could be accused of sticking with the high paid guys who were not producing: Rios and Dunn. s***, I'd have done the same thing. Kenny acquired those guys and the Sox pay them huge money and on paper they were way better than anything else the Sox had, except maybe Tank. He was loyal to a fault to Rios/Dunn and they just didn't hit. And in Rios' case he didn't field either. The bullpen also was blah to s***ty. Is that Oz phoning it in ? I don't see how benching Dunn/Rios was possible considering their salaries, yet a lot of people on this board use that as evidence of Oz phoning it in. I'd have played the high playing underachievers (last year) like Oz did. That made me smile as well. Good line. The thread should be retitled: "Let's ride Ozzie's ass for quitting on the White Sox and having good for nothing kids." Then you would be a terrible manager. You can bench highly paid players. See: James, Jerome and Zito, Barry.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) I can't figure how a team can get a top 5 pick every year without eventually having a string of hits, even if they have a poor development system/organization. If the Pirates can be 10 games up... But THAT FARM SYSTEM.
  13. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 02:33 PM) It has to suck the be a K.C. fan. What do they look forward to every season? "Hey maybe we'll crack 75 wins this season". I hear their farms systems are good. Somewhere that should translate someday to them being good. They use to be a powerhouse in MLB at one time. I think it's bad for baseball that organizations suck for 2 or more decades. Sure there are others but a lot of people in that organization can't be doing things right. I will always criticize Kenny for making trades with that organization. Losing is a habit. I've heard analysts talk about former Cubs removing the "Cub stink". It has to apply to the Riyals as well. According to some on this board, they will leave the Sox in the dust tomorrow.
  14. TORONTO HAS NO NIGHT LIFE. HENCE, AFTER THIS GAME, THEIR PLAYERS WILL BE CLUELESS WITH WHAT TO DO.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 07:52 AM) The Twins still fully believe they are in the race. I hate them. Just reiterating that.
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 01:50 AM) I blame a lack of run support for Jake Peavy this season. But seriously, this sucks man. I'm getting used to it, it's just the nocturnal ones starting has pissed me off even more. And it doesn't look like this second medication is working. I want to f***ing drive. So, of the 23 seizure meds, it takes two months to test each, and it's trial and error. And none are guaranteed to work. So four years down the road, I could have gone through each to no avail. Yay.
  17. So guys, what's worse, Nocturnal Seizures or normal Seizures? Normal ones just happen whatever you're doing, mine seem to be due to a lack of sleep, leave you fatigued, and you don't remember them. Nocturnal ones happen when you go to sleep (since they started three days ago, everytime I've slept...even naps), wake you in the middle of the night, leave you tired when you wake up, you basically wake up hungover, leave bite marks on your tongue (though not nearly as bad normal ones, they go away and they haven't given me a scar yet), but you'll feel back to normal after around two hours of being awake. Epilepsy f***ing sucks. Mine are triggered by sleep, either the lack of or going to sleep, leave me fatigued but wake me up, which causes more and f*** all this s***. /angry
