  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 06:26 AM) Yes, because Buehrle suddenly became a power pitcher who was throwing 98 mph and striking 200+ guys out a season, right? Not even the same comparison. He's too durable. Has to be roids. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 08:14 AM) Pretty sure he was being sarcastic, mocking your link of draft round to success-only-by-chemical. I really didn't think that needed to be explained. Guess not.
  2. So, does anyone know if mood stabilizers can just like...eliminate moods all together? My seizure medication is also a mood stabilizer and ever since it went into full effect I've felt like a large part of me has been missing. I've always been a very passionate and emotional person, yet it seems gone. I mean I asked out a friend two weeks ago and when she turned me down I quite literally felt nothing, whereas in the past I'd be upset for a while. Or I'm just not stressed out at all about all my tests, papers, and projects being due soon...which sounds good until the fact that I work best under stress. Hell, I went and looked at my poetry and I've written 3 poems since July, when I use to turn out two a month...and those past three were written without emotion. I dunno. It's just really, really weird.
  3. I don't know how Jimmy Butler does it, but man can he draw fouls. And he has such a high BBIQ. Here's hoping he develops a consistent shot. Marquis can make some nice passes and is really, really fast. I can see a Rose-Teague backcourt in some spurts when teams go small at shooting guard. We also found someone who can throw Derrick alley-oops. The FO can seriously draft (James Johnson and Tyrus Thomas aside) and I like the look of the future roster... PG: Rose/Teague SG: Mythical/Butler SF: Deng/Butler PF: Gibson/Mirotic C : Noah/Backuo I'd like a center like Withey in the coming draft. He fits the mold for a GarPax draftee and should be available around where the Bulls will pick. Any good shooting guards after Shabazz that the Bulls could trade a few seconds, the Bobcats pick, and a future first for in this draft? (And by good I mean "project to be All-Star")
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 28, 2012 -> 03:56 PM) 90% of the league was juiced up. The All-Time HR leader not being in the Hall is frankly stupid. most hits ever? not in the Hall most hrs ever? not in the Hall the Hall? pointless As terrible as steroids were, this. Rose and Jackson not being in is incredibly stupid. And what I learned from this is that Buehrle had to be a roider. He was drafted in the 38th round after getting cut in High School. Where did the sudden talent come from? Had to be roids.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 12:23 PM) Apparently the investigators in the Casey Anthony trial only turned over the browser result from Internet Explorer, and not Firefox. If they had, they could have found a search for "foolproof suffocation" done the day of the murder. http://www.clickorlando.com/news/Cops-pros...7z/-/index.html 'Oh for f***s sake.
  6. Lego Lord of the Rings came in the mail today. Can't wait to play it.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 05:35 PM) Israel has blood on their hands, but when push comes to shove, they are defending their lands against a bunch of antisemites. This and the fact that Jerusalem is Judaism's holiest city is why Israel won't give ground. The last time the Jews controlled their chief city? When King Solomon was around, so around 3000 years. There is no way Israel gives any bit of it up after all that time. Best solution I could see is Israel retaining control of Jerusalem, establishing a Palestinian state, and making the Old City similar to the Vatican, but under the control of both Israel and Palestine.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) I had a GameCube, it was a fun machine but it was a tweener machine. And yea, virtual boy was an original flop going by numbers. WiiU will be ok, I don't think it will flop Also, Miyamoto already mentioned that Starfox is in development. They've mentioned Star Fox for a while now.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 09:24 PM) Nah, GameCube says hi Gamecube was awesome. Also, the last console with Star Fox. Coincidence that it was my last Nintendo console? No. If the WiiU gives me Star Fox, I'll get it.
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 12:19 PM) This is going to be a hot item, hurry up and order http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?prod...1452710.3495678 I want it.
  11. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 11:05 AM) Our former and most polarizing manager in team history, our greatest pitcher in team history, and one of the largest and controversial trades in league history, or at least recent memory. I don't see the surprise. While I love Mark, I have him #5. I don't think I'd put him #1. 1) Ed Walsh 2) Ted Lyons 3) Billy Pierce 4) Red Faber 5) Mark Buehrle Now, you can argue he's 3rd, but Walsh and Lyons are pretty untouchable as 1-2. Walsh has the lowest ERA ever. Sure, dead-ball era, but he was one of the best pitchers in the era of best pitchers. As for Lyons... "He never appeared in a postseason game, as the generally mediocre-to-poor White Sox were usually far behind the American League leaders during his career. In Lyons' 21 seasons with the Sox, they finished fifth or lower (in an eight-team league) 16 times, and never finished higher than third. New York Yankees manager Joe McCarthy said, "If he'd pitched for the Yankees, he would have won over 400 games."

Lego Lord of the Rings and Assassins Creed 3 for $65 I'm happy.
  14. QUOTE (YASNY @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 02:44 AM) This I doubt. I don't believe Mark would want the position. My guess is that he'll be more than content to retire to home in Missouri. But, you never really know. Thought the same with Robin, so I can see it happening.
  15. So to make the day for Mizzou worse, a girl on twitter is now saying that Dixon raped her and that's why he's been suspended. I'm not ruling it out...but Dixon's escapades are notorious on campus. He goes up to girls and says "hey, wanna have sex?" at parties and if they say no, he goes directly to the next one. He's a horny dumbass...but I just can't see why it wouldn't stay consistent with "damn. on to the next girl." I can say that if this is why he's suspended and it's been covered up...I'm selling my tickets.
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 10:24 PM) Mark doesn't make sense for the Sox right now. They are in a transition period where they will be incorporating young players onto the roster while also trying to remain competitive. The biggest area where they are doing that right now is in the rotation. On top of that, Mark does get really expensive really quickly. Everyone here valued, loved, and cherished Mark for what he did, but the time was right for the two to go in opposite directions. He will get his number retired and he might even get a statue too. There aren't many guys in White Sox history that were as loved as Mark Buehrle. This 1000 times. He'll probably be pitching coach one day.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 04:19 PM) Hell, just redistribute it. Those last two years are killer This. I'm sure most people here would love Mark back over any LHP in the rotation aside from Sale and Q.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 02:12 PM) Let's face facts, for whatever reason, possibly the simple fact he played for the Sox so long, there's a lot of anti Buehrle sentiment on this site. Read this thread and tell me there's not a negative vibe. I don't understand it, but it's more of the philosophy of sports fans that never ceases to confound me. Buehrle should be loved on this site. The Sox should get him back. But that's in a perfect world. Why fans don't worship this guy as an all-time favorite Sox is beyond me. Mark Buehrle is everything great about pitching. Works fast, is a HUGE winner, seemingly a great tutor to younger pitchers. I love the guy and wish he was on our staff. I'd like a sports psychologist to tell me why a guy like Buehrle is not beloved by Sox fans. Weird. Are you f***ing high?
  19. Lego Lord of the Rings for $30 I think I'll get this later today. Combine that with AC3 for $35...I'll take these games for a combined $65. Especially after the feedback for Lego: LOTR
  20. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 12:58 AM) Holy s***, this PS Move bundle for $40. Comes with LBP 2 and a "nunchuck" controller. That's a real good deal, just for the LBP2 game alone. PS Move is sadly an amazing controller. Just very, very few good games utilize it well. Killzone 3 and Resident Evil 5 we're OK, just not good enough. Dead Space: Extraction was the best

  22. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 11:29 AM) What about morning wood? If the rape is legitimate, the male body has ways of shutting down erections.
  23. Also, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is surprisingly fun. It feels like an in between Super Smash Bros and a normal fighting game like Mortal Kombat. You definitely want to do combos and the fact that the only way to get kills is the super attacks adds some strategy. The level 3s are basically instakills, but you need to wait for it instead of using something like a level one or two which get the same result, but you need to aim and locate yourself properly.
