  1. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 05:20 AM) Ant-Man is just some guy that can get really small and really big right, wonder how that will do in the box office. Like a talking raccoon, a big green guy, and a Norse god? Also, my guess is it will have Wasp, the SHIELD agents, and bring Coulson back as Vision.
  2. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 04:38 AM) .228 since May 28th . Not long after the Cubs hit him... DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN.
  3. Reviving this with Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy announced for Phase 2. Which means Phase 2 will be... Iron Man 3 - 2013 Thor: The Dark World - 2013 Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy - 2014 Ant-Man - 2015 Avengers 2 - 2015
  4. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 01:03 AM) Rios is about to pass Paulie in batting average. Konerko's fall these last few months is ridiculous. An .80+ point drop in batting average would have been getting more attention is the starting average was t .399 haha But really, There is no way he's not hurt right? I know he's trying to be tough but he hasn't gottena clutch RBI hit for this team in forever. Sometimes the better move is to admit you're hurt and go on the DL for the sake of the team. He has to. Ever since he hit .399, something's been off.
  5. 1) I feel like we could have gotten more for Sergio. 2) Really, I would have loved to have packaged him, Danks, and D2 to some team like the Red Sox for a ransom. Resigning Buehrle in the process. 3) I miss Sergio. I got to talk to him just before his first game and he was shocked any fan knew his name. As for starter... 1) Santiago if he's ready. I like him as a starter. 2) If not, Castro.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 07:04 PM) Those lousy Cubs are 4-0-1 in their last 5 series & 11-5 in their last 16 games. Dale Sveum = Coach of the year?
  7. I'm half an inning late, but Chris Sale is a pimp.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) It's amazing to me because of how valuable he is to a staff, Mark is worth the extra 4 or 5 million a year. Can you imagine if the Royals would have paid for Buehrle? He is JUST what they need. The Sox need Mark desperately as well. It's crazy how teams pick and choose who/what they will pay. I love Buehrle and all (I wore a Buehrle or Konerko shirt under my jersey every game of baseball seniot year), but he's not a $19M starter. Few guys are. QUOTE (soxmaniac! @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 01:57 PM) Benedict Buehrle is a perfect fit for the NL. His numbers are way up, and his velocity will only go even lower from here on out. Your nicknames suck. You should probably stop, because this is your worst.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 09:35 PM) Mark Buehrle, one of my top three favorite Sox of all time, is ON FIRE. 4-0 in last four starts with some miniscule ERA. He would be looking mighty good in the White Sox rotation right now! He is durable and a competitor. I love the guy! I miss Mark. If only he didn't make so much his last two years.
  10. Man, what happened to Bellamy and Infante? (I know that they're still in the system, but what caused to to fall so much?)
  11. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 11:33 PM) wait what? http://www.kansan.com/news/2011/sep/18/kan...rounces-tigers/ I'd like to point out this was our first match ever. Kansas was ranked #2 most of the year. Yes, rankings.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) And that is how this all got started... (too soon?)
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 09:57 PM) Bitter about what? He's bitter about Missouri leaving the Big 12 and putting KU, K-State, Iowa State at risk for a few weeks of being left out of the BCS. Why would the teams agree to play once a year out of conference in basketball? If KU wins in Lawrence, which it would, MU gets no chance for a rematch. If MU wins in Columbia, KU gets no chance at a rematch. Out of conference it's NOT THE SAME. Game at Sprint Center? Stupid. Missouri wants to play KU. Then MU shoulda stayed in the league. They'd have played plenty. The teams need to never play again (cept in NCAAs which CBS will make sure happens plenty). There's no reason to play one basketball game per season. Football? MU would win 4 of every five games. So why would KU want to do that?? Even MU fans don't care about mopping up on a bad Kansas team. They proved that with lousy attendance at Arrowhead last year. Coulda packed the place if they wanted to mock KU. They didn't. So, what you just told me is Self didn't want to continue it and think that a game at the Sprint Center wouldn't be great. Then why do U of I and Mizzou do fine in St. Louis?
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 01:40 PM) Let's face it, we love our team but our ballpark is easily the worst in baseball. The new Cell is OK at best. When was the last time you were there? 1999?
  15. QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 06:26 PM) I was promised* by an Admin that I would "get to celebrate a world series win during [my] 1st year of fandom". So that modest expectation is what I've put my life savings on. It's free money. *not actually 'promised' but 'hopefully'. We've found this years Rally Crede.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 08:46 PM) This thread reminds me of the movie goodburger. How sad is that?
  17. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 04:11 PM) fortunately the chicken comes with steroids already included! as for flavor injecting? seems like way too much work when you can just... put the sauce on top... ...or marinade. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 06:12 PM) In a sense yes, but using this method, the sauce cooks in to the meat, whereas saucing the top of it, the sauce sits on top of the meat. It really makes the meat very juicy. I saw a video online of a guy doing this with cherry Dr. Pepper, and that looked interesting. For some reason, the cherry Dr. Pepper doesn't sound appealing. Probably better than it sounds...but ew.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 07:53 PM) No one ever asks the guy who works on meteorites... Well, help then. I need a long black trench coat, long white wig, and an obscenely long sword.
  19. QUOTE (High Mileage @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) No. Bill Self is 16-4 against Mizzou. Why would he want to stop playing them? Yes. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball...ept-realignment And it's because he said there's nothing to gain, seeing as it has no effect on Big 12 standings. But then why bother playing Duke, UCLA, Kentucky, and Ohio State? He's just bitter.
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 03:28 PM) Literally. The entire campus. I've worked on summoning that meteor. It takes a lot of work. Plus, I asked the Gods for a whole Sodom and Gomorrah thing, they said it's too much now with Twitter.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 01:00 PM) The Clippers, ladies and gentlemen Karma for Donald Sterling.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) On The Franchise last night, the Marlins Team President asked Ozzie about three times "are you sure you're not keeping Heath Bell as closer only due to him making 9 million a year?". Ozzie responded that wasn't the reason why he wanted him to be closer, as he felt the team was better with Bell as the closer and the 9 million dollar salary was the fault of the front office, and not him. Seriously. I'm still dying of laughter from this.
  23. Give Penn State the death penalty.
  24. 25. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 09:19 AM) I don't understand having Chris Beck waaay ahead of Heidenreich. Same age, one a second rounder, the other a fourth, Beck getting pretty much lit up at Great Falls, Heidenreich solid now at High A (combined 101 innings/3.38 ERA/.244 BAA/pitching against older players). Seems like Beck is annoited hhis status. Heidenreich has been in the system a few years. Beck was just drafted.
